There was general support for POTUS before, during and after Nov 8.

It appears that support is not returned. Why, pray tell, has he not at least publicly recognized four (4) our brothers. They went under his direction. SF goes to any number of God-Forsaken places, doing POTUS's bidding. The least he can do is show a modicum for respect and appreciation for that dedication.

I was sick at heart with their loss. To lose one (1) is a tragedy, to lose four (4) is a disaster. My deepest condolence to their families, both personal and military. It is hard enough to lose a loved one, but unforgivable to be forgotten or ignored.

Tp use his own word - SAD.

Ya' know, just saying, it wouldn't bother me at all if the President and CinC didn't publicly acknowledge my early departure from this planet. I don't think my parents would have expected my loss to rise to that level. I'm a soldier not a sound bite.

Maybe he's telephoned each of their families.

RIP Warriors, your sacrifice is not forgotten.

JMHO YMMV

I can't help but strongly agree with your post ODNT! I didn't serve for any other reason than my own personal reasons. And because of that, I don't or didn't expect any thanks for it from anyone other than my brothers-in-arms. Their thanks and appreciation - as well as that of my family - was all I ever cared about.

As to POTUS, it never mattered. I chose to willingly sign the dotted line and go where they sent me. His/her appreciation was never really a factor in my decision to do so.

So lets see, start a thread at titled "Support for POTUS" then start this one 2 min later saying the exact same thing in the first post. (but with a different title)

Why?

Never mind. Not the appropriate place.

RIP, Warriors. Rest easy.

So you're dumping on the President also?

My understanding is that he has recognized these deaths and in doing so stated that other CinC's were remiss in doing so. Another can of worms for the POTUS. He can't seem to win one way or the other but I support him whole heartedly.

See my post in the other thread on this subject to see what he really said.

Thanks Pete, the news these day is half assed as much as it is fake.

Heard a report yesterday that POTUS has called the surviving family members. (Sorry Pete, just saw your post in the other thread ;) )

I agree this should not be a f'n sound bite.

Support is given in other ways like giving the operational commanders the ability to track and kill the rats that did this. We don't need the news to report POTUS is sorry for your loss or everything he is doing to combat our enemy. That was a thing he said before getting elected if I remember right. It is stupid to tell the enemy what you are doing before you do it.

RIP means rest in peace, but as a nation we seem to refuse to actually let our fallen soldiers and their families have either rest OR peace.
