some talk the talk but can't walk the walk..........
Just got back from seeing TS, and spending a glorious day shooting. I've been out with him several times before in South Carolina but this time was great.
Start with and progress through draw/presentation/trigger control/accuracy....the man makes holes through holes 1 or 2 hands.
He had me working on one thing and and when he came back to my target thought I was surely a surgeon; I had stitched the target from chest to abdomen (I thought he wanted me to do this, i.e., I didn't know he wanted me to stay with the same initial point of contact!!) I hope he posts a picture of the target, he laughed pretty hard at my expense....but damn fine shooting it was.
I highly recommend lessons from him and he's affordable at $200/hr plus meals......(LOL)
He really does shoot this way....surgical shooting for that all important shot that the average LEO or civilian dreams of making.
Overall, a fine day of shooting, just wish I lived closer to do it more often.
I have my practice orders and have started on the road of walking the walk....TS, I'll make you smile next time we shoot together.

Team Sergeant - Swat Surgeon's target does make for a nice looking zipper. Are you sure he wasn't using a T&E on that pistol? I remember doing something similar (horizontally though) with a water cooled Browning. Nothing like a museum piece, a 250 rd belt, and boredom to see if you really can cut things in half with a machinegun. Maybe he needs to try Class 3 toys next. YIS Peregrino

My pleasure, you make it to the Phoenix area and we'll throw some rounds down range.

Speaking of shooting with LEO's, Smoking Joe, when we going out again?

As soon as I can get some freaking time off. That probably won't be until after Feb 25th. I might be able to sneak down for a day or two before then. I will PM when I know when I can get out of town.

STR8SHTR,

It would be well worth your time to take a little vacation to Phoenix. The training you recieve from the Team Sergeant is hands down better than what you will recieve from Gunsight.

I was there with Doctor Doom when he shot. Not bad for someone who had almost no training. He was picking it up quickly.

We didn't pound down a ton of beer the day that MikeC2W, Poly, Airborne Lawyer, Blackjack78, DD, and a good looking blonde lady got together in DC.

I will ask him.

Very cheap...you just have to stand still when directed, and provide your own pressure dressings.

If 950 is the best he can do he should stay home. We do not need to stoop to posting up Marine sniper hunting videos. I have three antelope kills past 1K and I am not even sniper qualified. Plus my 6X6 elk was 968 yards so I have four shots better than that.

I was impressed with how fast the deer dropped dead. That 338 hit him hard. Of course a long shoot cold like that is always something to enjoy.
I also have a good group at 1250 meters with an M-21. Shot a 10.5 in group of ten rounds in 1977 at Bragg. 950 then would have been no sweat. I did it with a 3 x 9 Leatherwood and figures the hold off after 1000 and 1150 meters. I had a good spotter to boot.
I knew Bob would have something to put in. Wish I still shot that good. Only been able to muster 788 yds with a Tang sight. on my Sharps. But that's all the range had that day. Hell shot several oranges at 300 meters routinely with My 21. they were always shot in rapid succession.
