Yeah, you don't have to worry about securing the Uniform store or the work-boot store. They're pretty safe.

Civil unrest in St. Louis after white officer's acuittal

antifa violence

black lies matter

Won't be long until an LEO or National Guard fires into a crowd with real bullets to defend himself.

Then the left-wing progressive communists will retaliate with bombs. Probably take sides with ISIS too.

The Weather Underground Terrorist Organization will rise again.

It's coming.

(I'll be fishing.)

The dead perp is no loss but this was a bad situation. They could probably have gotten a murder 2 or manslaughter conviction.

Insurance companies should put riders into their policies where they don't pay when damage is the result of riots/civil unrest.
Should accelerate urban decay nicely.

Fouling your own nest should have consequences.

I agree. Only the officer's DNA was found on dead guy's alleged gun, and the DNA was found on a screw in the grips.
St. Louis city is hopelessly corrupt.
Hopefully this guy never gets a job in LE again anywhere.

This took 6 years to resolve because... ?

So, the case is heard by a judge who lays out the facts and strictly applies the law without emotion and ya'll think he should have been found guilty of 2 degree or manslaughter...??

Maybe go read the case; or spend some time as a cop before you weigh in on buying the lies put out by BLM. I bet some of you believe Mike Brown had his hands up don't you?

Most cities are corrupt. Several years back a local black cop in a nearby low crime city doing a 'Welfare Check' decided to enter the woman's apartment and he shot her dead.

A lot of the those at the scene did not believe it was a 'Good Shoot'.

The residents of the area did not protest, no outsiders arrived to stir the pot, no riot occurred, no vandalism occurred and the City had to pay out some money to the family of the victim.

And Officer Roberson is remains on the force.

This is precisely why I try and stay away from these discussions.

It is too easy to sit back and snipe out what we perceive as bad decisions in hindsight when we have no real idea of the situation.

I do not personally work in law enforcement but I have the up-most respect for anyone willing to put their lives on the line everyday for the safety of other people.

I believe it was Col. Grossman in his book "On Combat" that said our nation could endure not having doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc and still prevail for a little while without collapsing...But the instant we lost our "sheepdogs" we'd be doomed as a society.

Full PDF of the Judge's decision (https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/stltoday.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/5/7b/57b2d12c-83d8-53a0-ba1f-18b659a7e569/59bbe0a450230.pdf.pdf), which includes rationale over the meaning of presence/absence of DNA (and multiple misspellings of Beretta and calling it a revolver).

Lt. Col (not COL)

But you will quote someone that has never been in combat, never killed anyone or fired a shot in anger..........:munchin

Thousands of vets, combat vets, writing books and all the civilians/leo's, media quote a non-combat vet.

But he's an "expert".

TS

I meant no disrespect by quoting Lt. Col. Grossman's book (sorry for the omission). I only thought that his perspective might be relevant to the conversation.

I swear the individuals with the least experience in a subject area make the most noise and crave the most attention while the individuals with the most experience are rarely heard.

If I want to know what’s it like to walk on the moon I would not ask someone that’s never been there.

This is why comedians are now America’s political commentators/experts, entertainers are picked for TV news hosts, convicted felons/traitors and murders speak/teach at ivy league schools and low IQ movie actors/actresses “world & science” comments are followed and shared by hundreds of millions.

Due diligence, if it was taught in high schools or colleges we would not have a left-wing, liberal socialist problem in America……

Sir, JMHO but education threw due diligence along with discernment and discretion out with the bath water. It sure appears now to include a lack of integrity and moral courage. Epidemic and inescapable in the race of the progressives as they jump to their conclusions. Notice the question asked of the talking empty heads is always, "What do you think is the cause of this blah, blah, blah...?" but never "What do you know about this...?"

The reason people who know don't say anything is because they know better.

If you read the judgment, you will find that the judge specifically considered and disregarded the lesser-included charges.

Reading. Craziness
