(You made me watch it.)

Of course he is. The Discovery Channel is known for it's thorough vetting process for all special operators involved in their programs.

Note to guys trying to get water with a bag: Put a rock in it. ;) HTH

Jack Stallings was in my company back in 10th Group. He's a good guy and a little crazy.

Damn you, Divemaster! I tuned in to watch the 2nd episode and accidentally caught the END(s) of Naked and Afraid! Barkeepers Friend on the eyeballs hurts like hell. I may even audition for that cave thing just to reboot.

Jack is a good old boy. Solid dude to have around in a fight, with guns or otherwise.

Oh boy, I do to!!!! I've had two deep cave experiences and I hated both. The first was on Okinawa. Several of us took a guided tour through one and found that the exit was in a ravine. Everyone had to walk back to the parking lot or hail a taxi. We went back the next time we had off and entered back through the exit. Well, when no one is in it they turned off the lights. We had a crook-neck flashlight but boy was it limited. We did exit the entrance, though. They weren't happy!

The second time was Pepper Sauce cave in the mountains above Tucson in the early '70s which was only known to a few locals. There were spaces there where I had a hard time squeezing through, and I'm not a big guy. When we were in the largest chamber, whoever was carrying the lantern, turned it off and the darkness was overwhelming. Not something I'd ever want to do again.
