Pilot dies trying to land on street

This happened last week here in Orlando. The Pilot lost oil pressure and the plane was coming down. It looked like he was trying to land on the road as the golf course was full of people. At the last minute you can see a vehicle on the road where he's headed, he veers off and hits a power pole. There's video and a slide show of the crash at this link. It looks like he took the crash in order to save the people in the car.
