For those of you who follow WM, or know Hognose personally, his brother has posted yesterday about an apparently-serious med crisis, as well as a direct email for friends/team-mates.

Thoughts out to HN, wishing you a 'go' at this obstacle.

Dang - Hog's a good dude. I'll give him shout and report back if I hear from him (using the method described).

Prayers out.

Like many of us, he has too many things remaining to do to pass.

Get well soon, hermano.

One of my must reads every day, gone much too soon. We truly do not know how much time we have to live, maybe the lesson from Hognose is to live like there will be no tomorrow.

Kevin was a rare individual who had knowledge, skills, and humanity, and the ability to communicate those things effectively to others.

He had a lot of projects his regular readers are familiar with. He was building a light plane, researching and writing a book on Czech firearms, and caring for a dog he recently rescued, while maintaining the highest volume of quality writing on his blog that I have ever seen.

His testimonial is on his board in the comments section. Tremendous tribute to a fallen brother.

Rest in Peace Hermano. The world is a lesser place without you.

DOL, Kev. Prayers for you and your family.

I reached out to Brendan yesterday. He has an IT background and is all over it. On a side note to all on this board, this situation brings up an experience that isn't always in the forefront of our minds but should at least be earmarked. Have a plan for your digital life. Passwords, personal and financial account info, continuity plans for paying the bills, etc - an untimely passing is more than enough hell for your friends and family, but having to sift through your digital footprint and go through the process of proving that their loved one is deceased and that they are the executor/pwr of attorney, etc is quite an undertaking and an emotional event to say the least.

If we need another thread to address this topic, I'll volunteer my experiences and background concerning it. We talk about preparedness in the physical sense, which is a great thing, but rarely (if ever) openly examine technological preparedness. Plus, some of you need a close buddy/very VERY quiet friend to delete your web history when you punch out. You know who you are. :D:lifter

Left my condolences there as well. No doubt about being one of the best blogs on the NET.
