Early reports of multiple casualties, one fatality after a truck has driven into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin.
While premature to say it was terrorism, y'all may recall that these types of markets were named as potential targets recently.

More and more reports of German media quoting police sources saying this was deliberate.
The truck had to make turns off a main road to reach the crowd, was going about 40mph had did not attempt to slow down.

The man suspected of driving the truck which killed nine people came from Pakistan to Germany on 16 February 2016 as a refugee, Welt (in German) reports sources as saying. But there is no independent confirmation of this claim.

The nationality of the suspected truck driver who crashed into a Christmas market in Berlin is still not certain, a police spokesman quoted by Reuters says. The suspect, who fled the scene of the killings and was later arrested, is being interrogated by officers, the news agency quoted police spokesman Thomas Neuendorf as saying.

This is what I'm seeing on cnn.com right now. However, when something happens OCONUS I'm usually monitoring several foreign news outlets. CNN only makes the cut once they get people on the scene. CNN will also be among the last to make the Islamic connection.

Police: Berlin lorry crash 'deliberate' and 'presumably terrorist'
The lorry that crashed into a Berlin Christmas market, killing at least 12 and injuring dozens of others, was driven into the crowd "deliberately".
German police referred to the crash for the first time as a "presumed terrorist attack" in the early hours of Tuesday over Twitter.
Authorities in Berlin added that the Polish man found dead in the lorry had not driven the vehicle when it careered into the crowd in the German capital on Monday.
Police arrested another individual shortly after the attack, whose identity and nationality remain unknown.
German Police are now reporting they are unsure they arrested the right guy and the killer maybe still at large, armed and dangerous.

Berlin attack suspect Anis Amri killed in Milan
The Berlin market attack suspect Anis Amri has been shot dead by police in Milan, Italy's interior minister says.
The man, who opened fire on police who asked him for ID during a routine patrol in the Sesto San Giovanni area in the early hours of Friday morning, was "without a shadow of a doubt" Anis Amri, Marco Minetti said.
One police officer was injured in the shootout.
Germany has been on high alert after the attack which left 49 injured.
Separately, police arrested two people in the German city of Oberhausen on suspicion of planning an attack.
The fingerprints of the dead man match those of the Tunisian main suspect in the Berlin bombing, reports in the Italian media say.
German officials have confirmed Anis Amri's fingerprints were found inside the truck that was used to kill 12 people and wound 49 others in Berlin on Monday evening.

They aren't confirming the kill, but kind of are. Europe is different like that.
Italy has confirmed, at the Minister of Interior level. It will take a couple of hours for the two countries to get on the same page. However, I'm pretty sure this will get foot on the chest confirmation.

For the members here who haven't been to Europe, his trans-national movement wasn't difficult. Except for Switzerland, which is easily avoided, there are no international borders to be crossed in the region.
I have driven from Germany, through Austria, and into Italy without any border checks. The EU is a great thing for tourists and terrorists.
A truck has rammed into a large crowd of people in the centre of Stockholm killing at least five people and injuring others in a suspected terror attack.
Witnesses say the large vehicle - which is thought to be stolen - drove into people in the shopping district of Drottninggatan in the Swedish capital.
Footage from the scene shows terrified shoppers fleeing in terror. Unconfirmed reports say three armed men jumped out of the truck with two shot dead by police.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said everything indicated the crash was a terrorist attack, as police confirmed they were interviewing two people in relation to the incident.
