Liberal/Socialist Left-Wing Propaganda Machine Hard at Work
Liberal / socialists don't like "Free Speech" and want to control who says what about them so they make up "Hate Speech" and place anything they do not agree with under this label so they can ban/control it.
"Assault Weapon" This is another left-wing liberal/socialist term designed to ban/control any and all guns they do not like. The socialists in the ATF ran with the idea and made up/invented their own version of a liberal socialist "assault weapon".
"Global Warming", a liberal left-wing term that can mean just about anything and the ultra left wing EPA uses the term to ban/control all sorts of American industry, land, cars, coal, foreign policy etc.
And now "Fake News".
"Fake News" is a left-wing liberal/socialist term invented by the socialists in an attempt to control their opponents' opinions. The extreme left-wing FaceBook is using the liberal "Fake News" term to ban/delete anything and everything anti-socialist.
Write something about the corrupt Hitlery Clinton? Fake News, ban it. Write something derogatory about Obama on your facebook page, "Fake News" ban it. Have a media outlet that constantly berates the left-wing socialists and their policies? "Fake News" ban it.
You see where this is going. The liberal/socialist/communist left needs to control what is being said or they will lose time and time again. And we continue to allow them to label our "rights" and ban them.
We need to stop the liberal socialists from labeling our rights and attempting to ban them, tell the liberal snowflakes "NO MORE!"

Clinton blasts 'epidemic' of fake news

Hillary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.
“The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” Clinton said during a speech on Capitol Hill.
Some Democrats have argued the spread of anti-Clinton fake news online contributed to her electoral loss to Donald Trump.
The issue has received renewed attention this week after a gunman entered a pizzeria in Washington that was at the center of a false viral conspiracy theory that alleged it was home to a pedophilia ring operated by Clinton and her inner circle.
“This isn’t about politics or partisanship,” Clinton continued during her speech Thursday at a ceremony honoring retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
“Lives are at risk — lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days, to do their jobs, contribute to their communities.”
“It’s a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly,” she said.

NBC News rigs trucks with explosives to "expose" gas tank issue
CBS News anchor Dan Rather and team creates fake documents about G.W. Bush's National Guard service
Mainstream media runs story after story that later proves to be false.
Rolling Stone magazine runs rape story that upon actual investigation proves to be false.
And so on and so on.....
Is this the type of "fake news" they want to stop?

NBC's Katie Couric's producer edits in several seconds of "room tone" in anti-2A "documentary".

Never saw such a strong push to regulate the news in my life time. That is until this:

...Where is the unbiased analysis on what actually happened with this story? Let the people read all the real emails, see the pictures of the "false viral conspiracy" and make their own judgments. So far the so called "real news" debunking of the story has nothing to do with what was presented as evidence to make it viral.
Wonder why now it is SOOOO concerning about "regulating" and making laws about "fake" news.
Because nothing says free society like, (You will know what I want you to know.) or (I will tell you what is true.) or (Make "fake news" illegal.) How can people hear that and not be terrified of its intentions?

IMHO,
The main stream media has lost control of the narrative as illustrated so artfully by Trump and now is attempting to suppress all information beyond their control.
Recent rumors of Trump reorganizing the White House press room to give alternative media outlets a voice has thrown the media establishment into disarray and discrediting information sources is I assume only the the lastest to protect their influence.

I bet the left watched their primary purple people controlling machine (MSM) lose all credibility in the last 8 months or so with their huddled, needy masses and were shocked. Since the media can't be trusted to reliably sheepdog the herd, it's time for them to start treating them the way they do conservative media. What I cant seem to reason out is what this will get them. With no talking heads on the six o'clock news to spout the days propaganda, how will they remind their herd that all is well, their masters are still in control and the welfare checks will keep coming?

I could be wrong, but I beleive it is already happening, For instance certain topics on google now retrieve results of a who's who Conservative, Alternative Media or Fake News and/or the results try to paint a picture, but you will see little to no mention of CNN, CBS, ABC, etc in the results.
A google search on 'george soros black lives matter'. The top result is Snopes.com which paints Soros as a generous person who money was mis-used without his knowldge.
WHAT'S TRUE: A grantmaking network founded by George Soros provided funding to some groups that engaged in Ferguson-related protest activities.
WHAT'S FALSE: George Soros gave money to various groups for the express purpose of promoting Ferguson-related protests and riots.
And following up Snopes is a long list of 'Alternative Media' sources slamming BLM and Soros.
Quite a number of Soros related searches are topped with Snopes.
Adding CBS, CNN, etc to Soros searches brings up some interesting results as well.

Fox, which already holds a 39 percent stake in Sky, proposed acquiring the rest for 10.75 pounds a share, according to a filing Friday in the U.K., a premium of 36 percent over Thursday’s closing price. The bid revives a 2010 deal that was derailed amid a phone-hacking scandal at Murdoch newspapers.
Gaining total ownership of Sky would give Fox, which owns cable networks including FX and Nat Geo, a powerful distribution platform in Europe for pay television and internet. A deal would marry the global content business of 21st Century Fox with Sky’s direct-to-consumer capabilities, Fox said in a statement.
