G'day Fellas!
Has anyone heard about the Stanford Hacking 4 Defense program?
http://hacking4defense.stanford.edu
It's a "Lean Start Up" based innovation and problem solving framework program.
I had the opportunity to meet the guys who created & developed it, retired COL Joe Felter(one of you guys) and COL Pete Newell, a few months back.
They are working with Lean Start Up and Silicon Valley legend Steve Blank(Vietnam era USAF):
https://steveblank.com/category/hacking-for-defense/
They are now expanding into Hacking 4 Diplomacy:
http://web.stanford.edu/class/msande298/
I'll be attending their H4D Educators Course at Georgetown right before the Inaugeration:
http://www.h4di.org
....if anyone is interested in learning more about the open source stuff.
I reckon it's got some awesome applicability to non-kinetic problem solving.
