View Full Version : That Saftey Pin,, Mellennian TRIGGER..
PSA: That Safety Pin you see millennial butter-cups wearing??
It was invented by Walter Hunt, a very prolific tinker of the early 1800's..
He also is credited with several early REPEATING WEAPONS..
Trigger Trigger Trigger...
LMAO
Were they not called Volcanic repeating arms if memory serves me.
Maybe we should wear a firing pin on our lapel...watch libs, globalists, Statists heads explode when they ask what that is and we tell 'em...
Were they not called Volcanic repeating arms if memory serves me.
Yes they were..

Sometime back in the 1920's there were a bunch of Volcanic Rifles new in the box found at the Winchester Factory they were sold to employees for a quarter or fifty cents. One of these rifles sold in the Quad Cities awhile back for $75,000.00. The box it was in was cardboard but you would have sworn it was made from the finest walnut.

Hunt was one the the best tinkers of the early 1800's. And is credited with many many inventions.
BUT, like many he had ZERO business sense. He would give away inventions or not bother to patent them. Then people like Henry Arms and Winchester would make themselves famous with his folly..
My G-Grand Dad was the same. He was a piratical tinker without business sense. He developed the rubber knee pad used on Singer sowing machine, sold them to factory workers in the clothing district in NYC for $00.02 each. Tried to patent the Idea, but didn't have the 10 USD to pay a lawyer, so Singer grabbed the idea and run with it.
PS: I have my own Safety Pin on my Jacket,, just in case??..

I dig your safety pin.
I dig your safety pin.
Agreed, but the safety pin crowd wouldn't have a clue what it was.
My FIL had about a half dozen patent with the Hughes Research Lab. He never pursed his own, private, patents. He would just offer the project to the highest bidder. He said it saved time and money because they'd just steal it anyway knowing that he couldn't afford to fight them.
BTW, one of his patented products is sitting on the moon at this very moment. ;)

Love it ! Now that's what I'm talking about...compare that to the other side's diaper pin.
If a picture is worth a thousand words...
That's worth > 10,000 words in illustrating the divide in this country.

I have a pin like that! Guess I'll have to start wearing it to show my solidarity with the deplorable outcasts that elected the new president!:D
