New FBI files contain allegations of 'quid pro quo' in Clinton's emails

FBI interview summaries and notes, provided late Friday to the House Government Oversight and Intelligence Committees, contain allegations of a "quid pro quo" between a senior State Department executive and FBI agents during the Hillary Clinton email investigation, two congressional sources told Fox News.
"This is a flashing red light of potential criminality," Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah, who has been briefed on the FBI interviews, told Fox News.
He said "there was an alleged quid pro quo” involving Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy and the FBI “over at least one classified email.”
“In return for altering the classification, the possibility of additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas was discussed,” Chaffetz said.

These committees have had no success, even with all the evidence they uncover. I think they are a huge waste of tax payer money! I had to do an "interview" with the Defense Intelligence committee after the Amour Group embassy issue in Afghanistan back in '07 (hell, maybe '08, can't remember that good). It's all more political b.s. to justify jobs as politicians!
To me it further highlights the fact that our Congressional representatives and Senate representatives don't really want to change things. We really need a shake up in our government to get back to what our founders had in mind!!!:(

More to come I am afraid. If it is not the GOP and Trump supporters it will be Climate Skeptics, supporters of the police or bakeries.
It will be a full on, no holds barred assualt on American traditions and values once HRC and Kaine take the reigns.
To me it further highlights the fact that our Congressional representatives and Senate representatives don't really want to change things. We really need a shake up in our government to get back to what our founders had in mind!!!:(
...
This , IMHO, is why the GOP heads are gunning for Trump and actively supporting HRC. They truly fear any change in their status quo.
They truly fear any change in their status quo.
Unfortunately, until we can take away the full-time, retirement eligibility, from the position or Representatives and Senators -- nothing will change. They won't do anything that puts their careers in jeopardy. They are no longer there to serve the interest of the people, they simply want to serve their own for the allotted time and then retire on their awesome self-initiated retirement plans.
Somewhere along the line.....a government job....has morphed into a job for life at every level. Particularly so at the levels where you can vote your own raises and various other terms of employment.

Has CW2 started without official notice? It's been underway for awhile, perpetrated by the ones with the "let's come together" themes & coexist bumper stickers. Along with the incident, the rhetoric associated with it (including swastika-refs) is similar to what was done to residents with Walker signs during the recall to front lawns with those signs - swastikas burned into the grass.
As said before, once is coincidence, twice is enemy action...
Draw your own conclusions - they lost their moral high-ground a long time ago.

This is getting worse than I could have ever expected. Up until now, I've only visited banana republics (for the fruity drinks)....now we will all get to see what its like to live in one.
Just what is the end game for liberals?
Do they expect folks to just continue to "take it?" Some will...but some won't. This is a recipe for disaster.
Do they not realize that some day the political winds will shift and there will be a change in administrations? Governing by corruption and executive fiat sets precedent and cuts two ways. Is DC an alternative universe of hyper careerists and super shallow opportunists? I guess they figure with Hillary packing the Supreme Court the way is paved for decades.
The more we find out - the more DC earns a Clorox and firehose enema.

Breaking on BBC News
FBI director James Comey has said the bureau is reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails.
Investigators have discovered new emails "in connection with an unrelated case... that appear to be pertinent to the investigation", he said.
Mr Comey said investigators would determine whether the emails contain classified information.
The FBI has already found the Democratic candidate had classified information on a private email server.
Mr Comey had previously called Mrs Clinton's handling of classified information "extremely careless", but cleared her of any criminal wrongdoing.

Case closed (again)
Is it possible that they had these emails all along and, when confronted with an ultimatum from investigators, Comey decided this is a good opportunity to try and save face for the FBI? Would these investigators give him the ultimatum of "Reopen this or we're blowing the whistle"? As I write this John Sununu is saying this exact thing.

How in the world did we get to this point?
It started some time ago; perhaps before 1993; it involved lots of people from the radical '60s; some have died; some still living. While some people in particular circles may have skeletons or even a few bones in their closets; there are those that keep and maintain cemeteries in their basement. I'm sure there are many unmarked headstones under the Clinton Library, and some holes yet to be dug.
I believe it started in 1972 at a Washington D.C. hotel named Watergate and subsequently grew from that point onward. Whether fact or fiction of 'is' she an unethical liar then and 'is' she still an unethical liar today, depends on the definition of 'is'.
It doesn't matter what they find; that effing criminal thug Comey has ruled that she had "no intent" (a non-requirement under the statute). They can find a picture of her selling the material to Putin himself and Comey won't recommend indictment.
The FBI has become a freaking joke.

You guys are missing the true point here. Comey already made his position with no indictment (a sell out corrupt hack). The Clinton camp didn't pay him like he thought they would so he is doing this to wake them up to the fact that they better come through with the proper payments or he could really light things up. He (the FBI) doesn't plan to do anything. There was plenty of evidence before.!!!

One can guess all day about what might be in the emails but, given previous disclosures & decision, the only thing it will cause is piling on of embarassment to her campaign & more damage control. Until they refer a criminal indictment in the next few days (good luck with lassoing that unicorn) this will do nothing. More embarassment for HRC's gal-pal, sure. Eh, too bad, so sad.
However, imo, it would take hard evidence of premeditated espionage to even cause a burble in the wing-tip vortex of the Klinton jumbo jet on final approach. It also detracts from attention to anything Trump might actually say that is of substance in his campaign efforts since the spotlight is not on him, but on this issue (Comey & Clinton et al). If Amerika were capable of pulling their heads out of their iDevices long enough to think about 2nd/3rd order effects of anything the fix exposed might've had an iimpact. Not so much these days. I have a bit different perspective on all of this. First, I take the view that James Comey is an honorable man of principles and character. As I have posited before, Comey knew or was told by Lynch that the DoJ would not prosecute HRC. Rather than recommend prosecution, knowing that would be buried, he did the next best thing by holding a press conference to deliver his opening argument to the grand jury - We the People. That in and of itself was a courageous thing to do.
In the meantime, a near mutiny at the FBI has occurred. I'll bet he has more than 100 resignations on his desk. As a principled man of character, his conscience is killing him. So what does he do?
Serendipitously, the FBI discovers thousands of HRC emails on Abedin's/Weiner's computers. Viola, the opportunity to reopen the case presents itself. At great personal risk to his reputation, Comey unilaterally decides to re-open the investigation.
Yet to come are the Wikileaks emails that Assange claims will be definitive in proving HRC's criminal behavior. Speculation is that these are the 33,000 emails that were deleted on HRC's server.
Call me naive, but I still believe that truth always has a way of rising to the top. ;)
[A side note: I heard that Obama jokingly said that he and his family will leave the country if Donald Trump wins. I suggest that he select a country that does not have extradition with the US :D]

I also currently work next to many in the FBI each day. I can tell you there are. A lot behind doors that are livid with their current director for what he did this summer. I have many friends that are Senior SA's and upper management in the FBI also. But you know what none of them have done? None of them have gone public denouncing the directors decision and or resigned which they throw out in private talks about their outrage and how it has tainted the FBI. They worship the FBI but do not backup their threats and quit as many have told me while relaxing and discussing what is going on.
My $.02, regardless of intention this could not have come at a worse time for the Hildabeast. Both of these candidates are flawed in numerous ways, in this bizzaro election it seems the one in the spotlight suffers, so this may help Trump.
As for Comey who knows if he is doing what he can or its just CYA. If the former and he was coerced earlier, he may have decided fine I'm not going to fight the powers that be until the very end when uncertainty hits the hardest. Or he's just an empty suit who knows there is real fire behind this smoke, and he just wants to CYA, either way there is no reason to do this and take this heat unless as many of us suspect there is clearly something illegal here to warrant his actions.
Either way he's done, and the FBI is tarnished , whoever wins will can him now.

I didn't join my current organization thinking I would be working for the best, most professional, or highest caliber of ethical people's in government. Nope!
I should have quit after the first "Hoorah!" speech given by the first (incompetent) director. But, I didn't. I came into my job for the same reasons I served my country in the military - Duty, Honor, Courage and Love of Country.
I remain for the same reasons, regardless of who or what morons are placed in positions of authority over me. They aren't the ones' doing the job that needs to be done. Even though I know they will take credit for me doing my job, and that's perfectly fine with me, 'cause all I want, is to know...today the right person was there to get the job done and it got done right.
I too work with and alongside field agents in the field and without a doubt they are troubled by what's going on in Washington D.C. and the politics of 'inside the beltway' that cast shame and dishonor on the heritage and once great belief that we are a country of law and good order.
It's a good thing they pay me a shit ton of money and have decent retirement benefits because it's been a tough eight years to "feel good" about getting up and doing a thankless job for a corrupt, incompetent and illegal administration. I don't know that I'm comfortable enough suck it up to that retirement date if the next administration is the same as the current one.
I have standards, they've just been lowered lately.

Reading the tea leaves this morning (can't call it news) I get the impression that the whole of the DNC/Democrats in general to include No.1 and No.2 would be better served with the FBI actually doing their job.
*Satirical mode on*
Tuesday's headlines should read: "In an unprecedented step, the FBI has began a series of arrests of top officials in the Democratic Party. Beginning with the arrests of presidential front runner Hillary Clinton, aid Huma Abedin, campaign manager John Podesta, and former head of the DNC Debbie Wasserman-Schultz." Agents are currently seeking the whereabouts of former president William J. Clinton and have sought a search warrant for computers and hard drives of several top Democrats and Republicans in both the House and Senate with possible connections to the Clinton Foundation, Uranium One, Keystone Pipeline and the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.
It was reported by Fox news, late last night that Nevada Senator and former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was seen boarding a private jet and taking off to an unknown location. FBI Agents are seeking information on the whereabouts of Senator Reid at this time.
Furthermore, The Guardian, reports there was a temporary standoff between Secret Service Agents and the FBI as they entered the White House and the private residences of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden. Once the authenticity of the search warrants were verified the Secret Service yielded to and assisted the FBI with the collection of private computers, data storage devices, and other electronic devices owned or registered to the individuals named in the warrant.
Stay tuned, more breaking news ahead...
Oh, and we have reports that mysterious fires have broken out in several major news networks from CNN to MSNBC and their affiliate stations. Reports that several leading news anchors are jumping out of windows or off the rooftops...more to follow.

The FBI had a warrant to search a computer for information pertaining to interstate and/or internet (federal "wire" jurisdiction) messages dealing with solicitation of a minor, exposure and/or solicitation of pornography to a child, etc.
If in the course of that investigation they stumble into emails leading to evidence of any other crime, they can't drive on and proceed to look at anything else. They have to stop and obtain another search warrant or else get the permission of the computer owner to drive on.
It's rather routine. LE searching with a warrant for evidence of one crime (let's say drug dealing) find evidence of another crime (let's say child pornography). Child pornography isn't listed in the warrant, so the agents must go back to the magistrate and get a new warrant.
=====
Why did Comey write his letter to the Congress?
Because he told the Congress that he had investigated everything and elected not to seek an indictment. Then, if new emails show up, he has lied to Congress. He has loyalty to his masters (Loretta Lynch, who apparently tried to tell him not to release the fact that there were more emails not disclosed by Hillary's team) but he does not intend to be charged with perjury.
What I am waiting to see is whether or not any of the emails found were in fact NOT disclosed by Hillary. We already know for a fact that her assistant manager (Huma) lied under oath when she stated that she had made a diligent search and had turned over to investigators all "devices" that contained Clinton email messages.

From my view, none of this matters. Hillary Clinton will walk regardless of what is uncovered. The best way to destroy the Clintons is to defeat them - and their agenda - at the ballot box in a couple of weeks. Truly, the only way to defeat those who thrive in power is to make them powerless where it matters most.

And that was my initial reaction as well! However, given the extraordinary circumstances of this case, I think Comey knew that if he had recommended indictment that this would have been buried - end of case! Instead he took the unprecedented action of holding a press conference to present the facts as he knew them stopping short of a recommendation for indictment but not closing the case.

This has been my thinking for some time..
Comey knew, up front, he would have to deal with several BOSSES trying to scuttle the investigation from the get-go.
I, optimistically, hope he established an egress plan,, with booby-trap(s), that the Klinton Klan Mafia can't breach without massive personal collateral damage..
One aspect is that the wiener investigation has been going on for a long time. As such, there is a good chance that those 650,000 email are not "new-news", and he has had a team sitting on the data, ready to go public,, IF NEEDED..
BUTT, I am an optimist.. :munchin
I wish him luck.. :lifter
The Clinton machine taints and corrupts nearly everything it touches. Second and third order effects are happening and they clearly go all the way to the top..read POTUS. Emails with POTUS to/from Secretary of State would have to happen on a daily basis...from subjects like "have a good weekend" to "Hey can you re-task that satellite so we can get a look at place XYZ to prep for a strike" and everything in-between. Similar to the Big Banks and Big Financial houses being too big to fail.....The tentacles of corruption evident in these emails must be so profound as to be "Too Profound To Prosecute" and could lay bare just how dirty the entire system is as to lead to violence in the streets. Comey laid out before the entire world a perfectly prosecutable case yet clung to HRC's "Intent" as a loophole for her escape. I can only imagine what Comey was promised or threatened with in order for him to to not recommend indictment but it must be profound. I can't imagine any "New" evidence being more damning than anything previously known.

VIA ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION
The Honorable James B. Comey,
Jr. Director Federal Bureau of Investigation
935 Pennsylvania Avenue,
N.W. Washington, D.C. 20535
Dear Director Comey,
Thank you for your letter on Friday informing the Committee of the new information in the Clinton email investigation. Your letter indicated that the FBI learned in an “unrelated case” of the existence of new emails pertinent to the Clinton inquiry and that you believed the FBI should take additional investigative steps to enable the new evidence to be reviewed.
It is unclear from your letter what those additional investigative steps are, why they are necessary in order to review the emails, and whether they might include compulsory legal process dependent on the approval of prosecutors at the Department of Justice, such as seeking a search warrant.
On May 17, 2016, I wrote to you expressing concerns about the appearance that political appointees at the Justice Department might be withholding approval for the FBI to seek search warrants and grand jury subpoenas. These standard investigative tools are usually approved in criminal investigations of this scope and importance. However, it remains unclear to this day whether the FBI requested the use of a grand jury in the Clinton email investigation to compel documents and testimony, and if so whether the Department of Justice denied that request.
These concerns are only magnified by these latest developments. If the FBI is denied the ability to gather evidence through compulsory means, Secretary Clinton and her aides have enormous leverage to negotiate extraordinary concessions in exchange for voluntary cooperation. This has already happened in the course of this investigation.
For example, my staff has reviewed the agreements whereby the Justice Department agreed to limit its search of laptops from two of her senior aides to an extremely narrow scope and then destroy the laptops when the search was complete.
The scope of the agreed-upon search was so narrow that it prevented review of emails during a time period in which the aides may have engaged in deleting emails relevant to investigations being conducted by both the FBI and Congress.
In addition, it was recently reported that agents investigating potential corruption at the Clinton Foundation were denied access to emails obtained by the FBI in this investigation because of the limited-use agreement through which they were obtained.
Needless to say, it is disturbing if political appointees at the Department of Justice are inappropriately withholding compulsory tools from the FBI, forcing agents to depend on a subject or target’s consent to gather evidence, which undercuts the FBI’s ability to do its job and ultimately obtain justice.
According to news reports following your letter, the “unrelated case” that you referenced is an investigation of senior Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s husband, Anthony Weiner and his communications with a minor. What remains unclear is how the FBI obtained the device that led to the discovery of the new emails and what the FBI knows about the content of the new emails.
You clearly faced a difficult decision about whether, what, and how much to disclose about this new information. Any choice could be seen as affecting the election. Some critics of your decision to update your testimony to Congress are inexplicably calling on you with their next breath to release even more information. While I disagree with those who suggest you should have kept the FBI’s discovery secret until after the election,
I agree that your disclosure did not go far enough. Unfortunately, your letter failed to give Congress and the American people enough context to evaluate the significance or full meaning of this development. Without additional context, your disclosure is not fair to Congress, the American people, or Secretary Clinton. The factual context is important.
In addition, it is critical for the public to know whether the FBI has requested from the Justice Department vital investigative tools such as grand jury subpoenas and search warrants and whether it has been denied access to them. In the absence of additional, authoritative information from the FBI in the wake of your vague disclosure, Congress and the American people are left to sift through anonymous leaks from Justice Department officials to the press of varying levels of detail, reliability, and consistency.
The American people deserve better than that. Accordingly, please respond to the following questions no later than November 4, 2016:
1. Has anyone at the FBI had the ability to read any of the content of the newly discovered emails? If not, then how do you know that they appear to be pertinent to the FBI’s inquiry? If so, does any of the content upon initial review suggest obstruction of or false statements to Congress or the FBI by Secretary Clinton or her senior aides? Please explain.
2. What time frame do the newly discovered emails cover and approximately how many are there?
3. Is there any preliminary information to suggest that a significant number of the newly discovered emails are duplicates of emails already reviewed by the FBI?
4. Did the FBI obtain the device(s) through which it learned of the existence of new emails mentioned in your letter on Friday through compulsory process? If so, please describe the nature and scope of the process in detail. If not, then how did the FBI learn of the existence of the new emails mentioned in your letter?
5. At any point in the Clinton email investigation, did the FBI request use of a grand jury from the Justice Department? If not, why not? If the Department declined, please describe the circumstances in detail. Who at the Justice Department made that decision and what grounds were given for the denial?
6. At any point in the Clinton investigation, did the FBI request an application for a search warrant from the Justice Department? If not, why not? If so, what was the Department’s response? If the Department declined, please describe the circumstances in detail. Who at the Justice Department made that decision and what grounds were given for the denial?
7. According to news reports, the FBI has recently obtained a search warrant for the emails in question. If those reports are accurate, please provide the Committee with copies of the material provided to the court in support of the warrant, including any affidavits executed by FBI personnel.
8. According to news reports, the FBI has also been conducting a criminal inquiry involving the Clinton Foundation. Yet, Justice Department officials reportedly denied the FBI's request for a grand jury in that matter and pressured senior FBI officials not to pursue the matter through other means. Is it true that the Department denied the FBI's request for a grand jury in the Clinton Foundation investigation?
9. Press reports also indicate that the Justice Department denied the FBI the ability to search the laptops of senior Clinton aides Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson for information related to the Clinton Foundation inquiry. Is it true that the FBI requested such a search of the Mills and Samuelson laptops, but DOJ denied that request? If the FBI did make such a request, was that request made before or after the Department executed its agreement with Mills and Samuelson for a narrow voluntary search and destruction of the laptops?
10. Please provide the committee with all records related to communications between FBI and DOJ officials regarding:
(a) requests for any sort of court-supervised process, such as empaneling a grand jury or applying for a search warrant in connection with the Clinton email or Clinton Foundation investigations, or
(b) the Mills and Samuelson laptops that were to subject of limited immunity agreements. Please answer the questions according to their corresponding numbers. I anticipate that your written reply will be unclassified but some responsive documents may contain classified information. Please send all unclassified material directly to the Committee. In keeping with the requirements of Executive Order 13526, if any of the responsive documents do contain classified information, please segregate all unclassified material within the classified documents, provide all unclassified information directly to the Committee, and provide a classified addendum to the Office of Senate Security. Although the Committee complies with all laws and regulations governing the handling of classified information, it is not bound, absent its prior agreement, by
any handling restrictions or instructions on unclassified information unilaterally asserted by the Executive Branch.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this request. If you have questions, contact Jason Foster of my Committee staff at (202) 224-5225.
Sincerely,
Charles E. Grassley Chairman Committee on the Judiciary

Not sure whether to post this here or in the weiner thread :D
The surprise tweet from a little-used FBI account came about 1 p.m. Tuesday, announcing that the agency had published on its website 129 pages of internal documents related to a years-old investigation into former president Bill Clinton’s pardon of a fugitive Democratic donor.
The Twitter account used to publicize the Rich files, an official FBI account called*@FBIRecordsVault, had been dormant for more than a year until Sunday, when it began to tweet links to archived documents. They included records related to Fred Trump, the father of the GOP nominee, which were posted to the website in early October. Those records included eight* *pages of largely biographical details about the elder Trump, much of which appeared to be compiled by the FBI in 1988. The agency advertised the Trump records by tweeting: “Fred C. Trump (1905-1999) was a real estate developer and philanthropist.”
Another tweet linked to previously released internal investigative notes from the FBI’s probe of Clinton’s private email server.
Agency officials said the tweets were automatically generated, a function of the website that they said had not been working since last year but that was recently fixed when the site was upgraded.
The Rich documents provided little new information about the matter, which plagued the first years of Bill Clinton’s post-presidency. But they served as a reminder of the vigor of the criminal probe into the matter.

Believe nothing, question everything.
I think many know and think that it is justifiable because the trade off is more free stuff which the ME's feel is social justice against the haves. The peaceful version of the Bolshevek revolution....and the Clinton Oligarchy is the new Stalin regime.
Comey was the lead investigator with regard to the the Rich documents, and according to the former Assistance Director of the FBI at the time, Comey was deeply troubled by Clinton's pardon of Rich...
...smoke and mirrors.
The government was bought and paid for a long time ago; shit like this is nothing more than kabuki theater, hyped up and delivered to drive ratings. clint0n will not be held to task and no amount of FBI probing will deny the future presidentress from her prize.
Have you ever watched a sporting event that just fucking sucked?
...neither team is going to win a championship, the fans don't give a fuck
Yet, the sports casters continue the charade...
announcer#1 = "he really had some movement on that curveball Jim"
announcer#2 = "he sure did Bob, let me tell you, that guy is a real competitor"
announcer#1 ="that reminds me - he is currently ranked number 4 on the all time list of pitchers that struck out two batters in an inning after having a two run third inning immediately following a three game loosing streak during interleague play"
announcer#2 = "and he has done well against this batter so far this year"
FUCKFUCKFUCK - there is nothing else on TV but Quantum Leap reruns and a 60 Minutes special on high levels of starch in garlic mashed potatoes...
...the only thing on cable is an Access Hollywood special about playboys that like to grab women by their purses
FUCKFUCKFUCK
...I guess I'll just watch the rest of the ball game.
announcer#1 = "and theres that curveball again Jim"
announcer#2 = "GREAT MOVEMENT ON THAT CURVE"
That's what this election is. Its like watching two last place ball teams playing a late season ball game in a town that is used to loosing. This new scandal is just something to keep the ratings up until election day.

Probably not as "troubled" as he is now, because now the entire world knows he has no spine.
James B. Comey Director Federal Bureau of Investigation is nothing but a bottom-feeding spineless corrupt little coward. Fits right in with the current socialist administration.

Lol, roger that.
The subject article might be worth a read if you want a glimpse into the pervasive brainwashing going on - on campus...or, if you're stuck in the shitter. :D

Lol, they certainly are confirming their own testosterone deficiency and that certain college campuses today are strange, sick and contributing heartily to our screwed up society.
