There was a time when trust meant a lot more in this country.

... and taking responsibility for ones self, ones actions, ones decisions.

The word "pride" used to not make me cringe. I haven't heard the word used in a long time in the context of being proud of ones accomplishment, creation, improvement, etc...

Honor. "Honor thy father and thy mother", honor thyself. Do we have a single leader we actually honor? Furthermore, do we even have leaders at all in Washington? The wheelhouse in this country is empty IMO, the captain is down in the bowels of the ship auctioning off the precious cargo to the highest bidder.

I haven't held anyone in Washington DC in high regards since Ronald Reagan left town.
