The Gov. has declared a State of Emergency for NC over the potential of a strike at NC from Hurricane Matthew.

He has exempted the weapons and alcohol portions from the law. Good news.

Pete Sir,

Thank you for sharing this info.

Hope the weather does not get severe;

But if it does, hope ya'll all ride it out safely!:lifter

As one who lives in a state that is often a bullseye for hurricanes, my thoughts and prayers are that it decides to stay offshore and away from the coastline.

Slightly different position...

My grandmother... my Babushka... lived at the mouth of the Cape Fear, in Southport.

My Dad (her son) did the research and she rode out like 15 direct hit hurricanes. She absolutely refused to evacuate her house. Never more than some branches to pick up in the yard. They don't make 'em like that anymore.... my Busha or houses like hers.

I actually drove from Bragg to Southport one weekend, when I was in the Q-Course to help her clean up the yard and all the roads were closed. I eventually made it. She was just like it was nothing!

Anyway, stay safe! We're watching down here in FL too!

Stay dry over there!!!!

So far so good. Let's see how well this curfew works.

...now I'm sure somewhere here there's a Be Prepared thread about living without power and water....:boohoo
