View Full Version : Teacher Disciplined After Trying To Force Student To Stand For Pledge
More from the Din dunuffin crowd...
America sucks
“I’m so proud of this little boy that I’ve raised, and I’m so proud of who I’ve raised him to be; to stand up for what you believe in, and in this case, to sit down,” Porter said.

Little spoiled brat!
And then the kid is spoiled too!
I commend the teacher for his actions!
Folks say that sports figures no longer influence.....anyone in the media does.
The funny thing about this is K thinks he's the heat...living large with big bucks he thinks his display is really 'worthwhile' and he'll never do anything of substance.
That's what this child is learning.....display over deeds....hashtag.
Somewhere I remember words to the effect:
"Thou shall not make for thyselves a graven image, nor shall thou bow down before it."
If you want to pledge allegiance to a piece of cloth
(distinctly separate from)
"and the republic for which it stands"
then why not create a golden calf, and upon the ringing of the gong,
all will bow down before it.
This is America.
If you wish to stand and pledge allegiance to the flag, do so, and let no man stop you.
If you do not want to pledge allegiance to the flag, remain seated, and let no man force you.
We call this the Land of The Free for a reason.
Surely our community sees the danger in a public school teacher forcing children out of their seats to pay respects to a symbolic entity of any kind for any ideology. Obviously this kid sounds like a POS, but we can disagree with the stance being taken these last few weeks without being a proponent for mindless obedience. If we are upset with a youth's opinion, physical force from a public school employee should not be our answer. It may be our progeny one day resisting in a similar fashion for very different reasons.

Well, really the only evidence we have that the teacher attempted to force the student is from the statemetn from mother of the student. For all we know the teacher touched him on the shoulder. In the mothers eyes, her baby, he din dunuffin.
When I was in school disrepectful and disruptive students were met with a trip to the principles office, a paddle, a parent meeting and possible expulsion......so I kind of see merit in teacher taking the initiative in trying to handle a disruptive student.
But we can agree that you can't make people respect something they despise.
We have fell so far as a country that we can't even expect people to respect our own flag. And if you do expect it, you get some kind of weird label.

I would be willing to chip in for one way tickets to any other country that would have them.
Let them pick their country and flag, renounce their American citizenship, and live with the consequences.
Where is Rick Monday in today's professional sports world? Today's athletes would hold the flag while the protester set it on fire.

Yes sir! Since we basically pay taxes to breath here, the government should take some of those dollars to start a fund to send people like them and CK back to where they feel things are safer and more fair to the down trodden.

Patriotism is a microagression trigger that violates the sanctity of safe spaces. We need to get some muscle over here to remove this teacher.
