It's odd (or maybe not so much), but I've only seen a bit of this in the US mainstream press while its certainly received copious attention in the Russian and Ukrainian media. It seems Russia has accused Ukraine of "terrorism" in the former-Ukrainian-now-Russian-peninsula of Crimea.
According to Kremlin mouthpiece, err respected news source, Russia Today:
"Last week, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that it had foiled several terrorist attacks in Crimea in early August, which it says had been planned by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s intelligence agency.
According to the FSB, its operatives detained several infiltrators who were planning to blow up a highway as motorcades carrying local officials and federal authorities were driving by. Explosive devices and ammunition used by the Ukrainian Army’s special forces were discovered at the scene, while further attempts by Ukrainian infiltrators to enter Crimea were prevented by Russian forces this week, the FSB said.
Later the agency also released a video of what law enforcers said was another Ukrainian infiltrator. The man claimed Kiev was planning to target a bus station and an airport in the city of Simferopol.
President Putin commented on the FSB report, saying that Kiev had turned to the “practice of terrorism,” adding that this has made any talks with the Ukrainian regime pointless."

LET'S REVIEW:
1. Recent reports state that 40,000 troops together with armored units, tanks and air support are massing on Russia's eastern border with Ukraine. Additional units are set to conduct exercises in the region in the next few days. This is not unlike 2014, when a month or so before taking Crimea, the Russians conducted similar ops.
2. According to the article, "Explosive devices and ammunition used by the Ukrainian Army’s special forces [WHATEVER THE HELL THAT MEANS] were discovered at the scene [DO THE UKRAINIAN SPECIAL FORCES ONLY USE AMMO TRACEABLE TO UKRAINE? Casus belli anyone?]"
3. The wise and able Russian FSB has observed "numerous plots," foiled "several terrorist attacks", and detained "many infiltrators" - all having the intent to kill Russians or Russian-backed officials, supposedly directed by the bankrupt, yet remarkably devious, government in Kiev. [Casus belli anyone?]
4. Putin happens to be visiting the Crimean peninsula to spend time with Russian youth camps [BECAUSE OF COURSE], where, speaking out of both sides of his mouth, he has stated that further talks with Kiev are "pointless", while simultaneously affirming to Russian sources that it is Ukrainian authorities who are unwilling to talk.
5. In a few short months, Putin's American adversary will either be a felonious woman with bigger testicles than the current President, or an unpredictable, uncontrollable creature who might let him go his way... or not.
The clock is ticking...
And the question remains- will there be two Ukraines?
