Who needs a gun?
Multiple media outlets reporting 19 dead and 20 wounded in a knife attack at a medical facility near Tokyo. Suspect is in custody.
That's a helluva lot of casualties for one person with a blade.
A center for disabled people.

Have you seen a katana?
And with the Japanese gun laws, not much chance of being shot.

Yes. But I don't think it was a katana. "Police later recovered a three-inch knife from the crime scene in western Tokyo."
Truly a sad story. A coward simply attacks with impunity those that can't defend themselves. True cowardice!
Rest In Peace, to the victims.

One of the best knife guys I knew used a 2" blade concealed in his belt buckle.

Before 9/11 a Soldier (anyone in fact) and a steely eyed Special Forces Green Beret would be able to carry a 3" blade on an airplane. A lot of damage could be done with that knife. After 9/11 everyone but the criminals got told those weren't allowed.
RIP to the victims of this viscous attack. May they rest in peace.

Kirsten Gillibrand seems to be complaining about President Obama's policies of the last eight years.
I feel for her!

In Tokyo?
Oops wrong thread. :o
My deepest condolences to the families..
In 1970, I spent 3 months in the Camp Zama Hospital system. Sagamihara is a small village outside the gate. I often went there to eat and spend some time at the local bars. Very fond memories..
