Hedge fund manager Marc Mezvinsky had friends in high places when he bet big on a Greek economic recovery, but even the keen interest of his mother-in-law, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, wasn't enough to spare him and his investors from financial tragedy.
In 2012, Mezvinski, the husband of Chelsea Clinton, created a $325 million basket of offshore funds under the Eaglevale Partners banner through a special arrangement with investment bank Goldman Sachs. The funds have lost tens of millions of dollars predicting that bailouts of the Greek banking system would pump up the value of the country’s distressed bonds. One fund, exclusively dedicated to Greek debt, suffered near-total losses.
Clinton stepped down as secretary of state in 2013 to run for president. But newly released emails from 2012 show that she and Clinton Foundation consultant, Sidney Blumenthal, shared classified information about how German leadership viewed the prospects for a Greek bailout. Clinton also shared “protected” State Department information about Greek bonds with her husband at the same time that her son-in-law aimed his hedge fund at Greece.
That America’s top diplomat kept a sharp eye on intelligence assessing the chances of a bailout of the Greek central bank is not a problem. However, sharing such sensitive information with friends and family would have been highly improper. Federal regulations prohibit the use of nonpublic information to further private interests or the interests of others. The mere perception of a conflict of interest is unacceptable.

I didn't believe anyone in our country was above justice because I thought an elite class of untouchables was an anathema to American ideals. There's no other explanation for this.

To summarize with commentary (not in order):
From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.

Only a very small number of the e-mails containing classified information bore markings indicating the presence of classified information. But even if information is not marked “classified” in an e-mail, participants who know or should know that the subject matter is classified are still obligated to protect it.
Despite the Clinton claims that "none of them were marked as classified", some actually were and even if they weren't, she should have known and protected them.
She also used her personal e-mail extensively while outside the United States, including sending and receiving work-related e-mails in the territory of sophisticated adversaries. Given that combination of factors, we assess it is possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton’s personal e-mail account.
Some of these emails were sent across hostile adversaries' network where they could be easily read.
Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.
Translation: The prosecutors are in the bag so we'll just recommend against charges and put an end to a futile effort
All the cases prosecuted involved some combination of: clearly intentional and willful mishandling of classified information; or vast quantities of materials exposed in such a way as to support an inference of intentional misconduct; or indications of disloyalty to the United States; or efforts to obstruct justice. We do not see those things here.
It seems to me that they met these criteria from their own statement
As a result, although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.
It's worth noting that he did NOT take questions from the press after the statement. That's really unusual for a statement with this level of public interest.
Personally, I think they (FBI) were caught between a political hard place and a rock. If they recommend "for" then Lynch walks back her statement from the other day where she said "I expect to accept the FBI's recommendation" note she that left herself some wiggle room to ingore the recommendation if it wasn't what she expected.
Conspiracy theorists are probably correct about this one...

If there was nothing criminal taking place, why did Brian Pagliano need a grant of immunity from the FBI in their "criminal" investigation. Why did Pagliano, and other aides, invoke their 5th amendment rights during the Judicial Watch civil case depositions? That's a lot of ass covering for simple carelessness.

Bear in mind that she only turned over about half of her emails, the rest being withheld as "personal and private." So who knows what security breaches those emails contained. But just looking at the fact that 110 emails contained confidential or greater security level information at the time they were sent, and that only a small number of those did not have their security level indicators stripped from them... That alone is enough evidence that she should be prosecuted under Section 18 U.S. Code § 793...

Probably never happen Tony, but I think it is realistic to say things are going to get really, really ugly in the not so distant future. The conventions are being billed as riot zones, could it get out of hand to the extent that Obama get a third term??? And HRC gets elected the pieces have been put in place so that she can hit the ground running to lay waste to what remains of the USA as we know it.
What we do know without a doubt is that the rule of law is a joke and that law enforcement will not uphold the laws they took an oath to uphold.

I've really tried hard to believe that voting matters, and that our system would right itself eventually under the right leadership. Preferably within my lifetime. However this blatant display of Oligarchy being smeared on our face like a warm, runny handful of sh*t is what I consider the next-to-last straw. If she whose name I dare not speak wins in November, that's the last straw. My children will not be ruled.
I do not want my kids, or future grandkids asking me "Dad/Pop-Pop, what did you do to try and stop what is happening to us?"

When publically elected individuals and government agencies unilaterally decide that the Constitution and the laws set down for this great nation no longer apply to them then the time for academic discussion is over.

Sometimes in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another. It is high time to declare our personal independence from any remnant of obligation to those who have spit upon the rule of law. We owe them nothing - not respect, not loyalty, not obedience.
Think about it. If you are out driving at 3 a.m., do you stop at a stop sign when there’s no one coming? Of course you do. You don’t need a cop to be there to make you stop. You do it voluntarily because this is America and America is a country where obeying the law is the right thing to do because the law was justly made and is justly applied. Or it used to be.
The law mattered. It applied equally to everyone. We demanded that it did, all of us – politicians, the media, and regular citizens. Oh, there were mistakes and miscarriages of justice but they weren’t common and they weren’t celebrated – they were universally reviled. And, more importantly, they weren’t part and parcel of the ideology of one particular party. There was once a time where you could imagine a Democrat scandal where the media actually called for the head of the Democrat instead of deploying to cover it up.
People assumed that the law mattered, that the same rules applied to everyone. That duly enacted laws would be enforced equally until repealed. That the Constitution set the foundation and that its guarantees would be honored even if we disliked the result in a particular case. But that’s not our country today.
The idea of the rule of law today is a lie. There is no law. There is no justice. There are only lies.

But it’s much worse than just one scandal that seems not to scandalize anyone in the elite. Just read the Declaration of Independence – it’s almost like those dead white Christian male proto-NRA members foresaw and cataloged the myriad oppressions of liberalism’s current junior varsity tyranny.
There is one law for them, and another for us. Sanctuary cities? Obama’s immigration orders? The politicians won’t stand against this. The Democrats support allowing the government to jail people for criticizing politicians and clamor to take away citizens’ rights merely because some government flunky has put their name on a list. Their “minority report” on Benghazi is an attack on Trump, and to them the idea of congressional oversight of a Democrat official whose incompetence put four Americans in the ground is not merely illegitimate; it’s a joke.
Is the media standing against this, those sainted watchdogs protecting us from the powerful? Don’t make me laugh.
What do these moral abortions have in common? Short term political gain over principle. These people are so used to the good life that a society’s reflexive reliance on the principle of the rule of law brings that they think they can undermine it with impunity. Oh it’s no big deal if we do this, they reason. Everyone else will keep playing by the rules, right? Everything will be fine even as we score in the short term.
The Romans had principles for a while. Then they got tempted to abandon principle for – wait for it – short term political gain. Then they got Caesar. Then the emperors. Then the barbarians. And then the Dark Ages. But hey, we’re much smarter and more sophisticated than the Romans, who were so dumb they didn’t even know that gender is a matter of choice. Our civilization is permanent and indestructible – it’s not like we are threatened by barbarians who want to come massacre us.
Oh, wait. The last words of some of these people to their radical Muslim killers before they are beheaded will be, “Please remember me as not being Islamaphobic! And sorry about the Crusades!”
There used to be a social contract requiring that our government treat us all equally within the scope of the Constitution and defend us, and in return we would recognize the legitimacy of its laws and defend it when in need. But that contract has been breached. We are not all equal before the law. Our constitutional rights are not being upheld. We are not being defended – hell, we normals get blamed every time some Seventh Century savage goes on a kill spree. Yet we’re still supposed to keep going along as if everything is cool, obeying the law, subsidizing the elite with our taxes, taking their abuse. We’ve been evicted by the landlord but he still wants us to pay him rent.
Now it seems we actually have a new social contract – do what we say and don’t resist, and in return we’ll abuse you, lie about you, take your money, and look down upon you in contempt. What a bargain!
It’s not a social contract anymore – American society today is a suicide pact we never agreed to and yet we’re expected to go first.
I say “No.”
We owe them nothing - not respect, not loyalty, not obedience. Nothing.
We make it easy for them by going along. We make it simple by defaulting to the old rules. But there are no rules anymore, certainly none that morally bind us once we are outside the presence of some government worker with a gun to force our compliance. There is only will and power and we must rediscover our own. If there is no cop sitting right there, then there is nothing to make you stop at that stop sign tonight.
They don’t realize that by rejecting the rule of law, they have set us free. We are independent. We owe them nothing - not respect, not loyalty, not obedience. But with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we will still mutually pledge those who have earned our loyalty with their adherence to the rule of law, our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

At about the 1:06 mark, dealing with giving non-cleared people access to classified information. I am in shock. Apparently there are no consequences for giving out classified information. WOW. That was good questioning from the Chairman.
Edit: 2:18 p.m. Comey tells Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, that there is "no doubt" that some of Clinton's lawyers who sifted through her emails did not have security clearance.
"Did Hillary Clinton give non-cleared people access to classified information?" Chaffetz asked.
"Yes," Comey said, though he noted that there was no evidence of criminal intent by Clinton in allowing her lawyers to sort through the emails.

FBI Director James Comey testified Thursday that Hillary Clinton’s claims -- some made under oath -- about her use of a private email server were “not true,” fueling Republican questions about whether in doing so she committed a felony.
In a wide-ranging appearance before the House oversight committee, Comey also said Clinton’s email practices put America’s secrets at risk and her actions constituted the “definition of carelessness.”
At the same time, Comey staunchly defended the bureau’s decision not to pursue charges. He also said, “We have no basis to conclude that [Clinton] lied to the FBI.”
Yet he acknowledged that lying under oath is a felony, as some Republicans point to statements she made last October before the House Benghazi committee -- and plan to request an investigation. At that hearing, Clinton had claimed that nothing she sent or received was marked classified.
Comey was asked about such claims, which she also made publicly, in a pointed exchange with Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.
“That’s not true. … There was classified material emailed,” Comey said.
On her claim that she used one device, Comey also said, “She used multiple devices.”
And on her claim that she turned over all work-related emails, he said, “No, we found work-related emails, thousands that were not returned.”

Mens rea: the intention or knowledge of wrongdoing that constitutes part of a crime, as opposed to the action or conduct of the accused.
Supporters of Hillary Clinton should have a new appreciation for the legal concept of mens rea—literally, "defendant's mind"—because it looks like it will save her from federal prosecution for her use of a personal email server as secretary of state. In recommending that the Justice Department not bring charges against Clinton, FBI Director James Comey distinguished her "extremely careless" handling of "very sensitive, highly classified information" from previous cases involving "intentional and willful mishandling."
Not every potential federal defendant gets the benefit of such distinctions. Consider the retired racecar driver on a snowmobile outing in Colorado who got lost in a blizzard and unwittingly crossed into a National Forest Wilderness Area, the Native Alaskan trapper who sold 10 sea otters to a buyer he mistakenly believed was also a Native Alaskan, and the 11-year-old Virginia girl who rescued a baby woodpecker from her cat.
The first two of these incidents resulted in misdemeanor and felony convictions, respectively, while the third led to a fine (later rescinded) and threats of prosecution. All three qualify as federal crimes, even though the perpetrators had no idea they were breaking the law—a kind of injustice that would be addressed by reforms that opponents falsely portray as a special favor to corporate polluters and other felonious fat cats.
The federal code contains something like 5,000 criminal statutes and describes an estimated 30,000 regulatory violations that can be treated as crimes. The fact that no one knows the precise numbers is itself a scandal, compounded by the fact that many of these provisions include minimal or no mens rea requirements, which specify the mental state required for conviction.
The upshot is that innocent acts, honest mistakes, and simple accidents can lead to criminal convictions that deprive people of their liberty and property, ruin their reputations, and carry lifelong collateral consequences ranging from impaired occupational opportunities to the loss of constitutional rights. That's a serious problem recognized by Democrats as well as Republicans, as demonstrated by the bipartisan support for mens rea reform in the House of Representatives.
Yet Senate Democrats dismiss the proposed changes, which would add culpability requirements to statutes that do not address the issue, as "corporate protection." They blame Republican insistence on mens rea reform for imperiling a criminal justice reform bill that until recently seemed likely to pass this year.
It would be a shame if disagreement on this issue prevented Congress from reducing excessively harsh federal sentences. But Senate Democrats' critique of mens rea reform is seriously misguided, if not downright disingenuous.
Their chief complaint, also voiced by the Justice Department, is that requiring the government to prove a defendant knew he was breaking the law will make it harder to convict people. No kidding. The same could be said of many safeguards widely supported by civil libertarians, including the presumption of innocence, the exclusion of illegally obtained evidence, the requirement of proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and the ban on double jeopardy.
No doubt guilty people, including violent criminals, escape conviction because of these rules. Likewise, if Congress beefed up federal mens rea requirements, some white-collar malefactors probably would escape criminal punishment as a result. But that prospect should not deter Congress from doing what's right.
"The critics of mens rea reform—there's no way of overestimating the cynicism of these people," said Harvey Silverglate, a leading critic of overcriminalization, in a recent interview with Reason TV. "They're saying, 'It would be a terrible thing, because the people we don't like—corporate executives—they will be able to get off by arguing that there's absolutely no criminal intent on their part. So you want absolute criminal liability for people you don't like. However, when they come at you, suddenly you say, 'Well, I didn't intend to break the law.'"
That defense is deeply rooted in our moral intuitions and legal traditions. I hate it, but it's correct.
As an OCA, she can also wave her hand and downgrade the classification of various information that originated within her department with nothing more than a memo. My contention is that had she been charged she would have been able to produce memos for all of the DoS originated emails. (backdated, of course).
On a side note... isn't the person or persons who removed SAP info from the SCIF guilty as hell? That's not mishandling, it's deliberate espionage.

That's all a bit of hogwash!
Sure, she and those appointed by her (Chief of Staff and a handful of others) could write and generate classified documents and working papers until such time as making them 'originally' classified but to purposely omit national standards in markings and subsequently protecting them afterwards is tantamount to violating a dozen or more federal laws. (The "I didn't know excuse," has a bursting radius of everyone is infected until proven otherwise.)
Those already marked by other agencies and departments would be marked with appropriate markings and declassification dates. Depending on the material, sources, and methods of collection or origination most all would have all been declassify on some year 25 from then and upto 75 years to never!
If she or someone in her staff gained access to SAP that were generated before January 1, 1982 they wouldn't declass until December 31, 2021 (unless extended to forever) and those documents after January 1, 1982, have 40 years before being looked at for declassification. She wouldn't be able to simply say, "oh that's not important."
The FBI failed to round up everyone and hold accountable for violating E.O. 13526, DoD Directive 5205.07 and probably the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 if what we think she may have sold or compromised.
She and many others broke the law, and walked. Intent is not needed!

I removed SAP info all the time, briefed the commander and returned the info to the proper place. Had I sent or received SAP information to my house or anyone else's house I'd been Chelsea Manning's bitch for life.
SAP info was so sensitive if it was on a hard drive that hard drive was removed from the computer and locked up. We did that every day.

The expiration dates actually don't matter for an OCA's decision to declassify, they simply have to meet the "determined that it no longer meets the requirements" standard. The OCA is the one that makes that determination. Again, this is only for things that the DoS owns, whether via origination or via transfer. I was suggesting that she could break a couple more laws and probably get away with it since she most likely still has an electronic copy of DoS letterhead with her signature block. Presto change-o she generates a few backdated memos and has a friend(co-conspirator) drop the memos somewhere at DoS where they can be "discovered" and any of the info she had the authority to classify is no longer a crime. That still doesn't account for the info that originated with other agencies.
I know where you're coming from. I had some of those IA/IASO certifications as well (within the last 5 years) and had to learn all about it. I was simply positing an unlikely scenario that someone as crooked as her and as well connected could attempt and possibly succeed with.

With all that being said, I will not be voting for Donald Trump. I will be voting AGAINST Hillary Clinton. Being that the election isn't tomorrow I refuse to capitulate and get on the train. I feel that being critical of his actions will assist in moving him right versus left. He has a golden opportunity to capitalize on the words of Comey during his press release and the congressional testimony. He should be conspiring with those who are more capable than him in terms of exposing her flaws, poor decision making ability, and her trustworthiness.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch repeatedly dodged specific questions Tuesday about the FBI investigation that yielded no charges against Hillary Clinton over her email use, frustrating lawmakers who planned to question her on the outcome of the politically charged case.
The nation’s top law enforcement official was peppered with questions by the House Judiciary Committee, her first congressional appearance in the wake of the Clinton decision. But she repeatedly deferred to FBI Director James Comey’s comments on the case, declining to elaborate herself.
“I would refer you to those statements,” Lynch said. “I, as attorney general, am not able to provide any further comment on the facts or the substance of the investigation.”
Even as Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., noted it was her conclusion in the end on whether to act, Lynch would not comment in detail, specifically when pressed on Comey findings that conflicted with Clinton’s public statements on her email use.

I have quickly come to the conclusion that I have wasted enough time watching Stonewall Loretta testify before Congress. We will get no honest answers from this woman regarding her giving a walk to the criminal HRC. She has deflected all questions back to Comey as if she were not even involved. We are indeed Fooked.
It's "interesting" (ie... fcked up) how Comey detailed all the things klingon did wrong, but advised that a prosecutor would not take the case FOLLOWING Loretta deferring the decision to move forward to Comey. It is on Lynch's back to move forward, but she won't because she gave Comey the decision to prosecute, while it's not in his purvue to do so, yet he layed forth evidence of wrongdoing under the guise of ignorance. 1. Lynch was appointed as U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn, NY from 1999 to 2001. Who appointed her? Then President Bill Clinton.
2. Lynch resigned in 2001 to join the law firm Hogan & Hartson. This is the same law firm that represented the company MXLogic. MXLogic was the company Hillary first used to set up her private email server and account. Executives from this law firm have also donated to the Clintons.
3. From 2003 to 2005 Lynch served as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. The Federal Reserve Bank is actually a privately owned corporation, compromised of numerous banks. Several of these banks and or their executives have donated to the Clintons political campaigns and to the Clinton Foundation.
4. In 2010, President Obama re-appointed Lynch as U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn. In 2015, Obama then appointed her as head U.S. Attorney for the nation.
5. A few days ago, as we all know, Lynch met with Bill Clinton, privately, on her private government jet. This meeting was a few days before the FBI interviewed Hillary and a few days before todays announcement.
6. After this meeting, Lynch said something that no U.S. Attorney has ever said. She first apologized and said she should not have met him (obviously an apology based on her being caught, not apologizing for the actual action). She then states something U.S. Attorneys do not state. She stated her office will be guided by whatever recommendation the FBI gives them. Why was this statement ridiculous? She is the head of the U.S. Justice Department. The FBI is a sub unit of DOJ. She is the top boss, not Comey and not the FBI. Her office decides to prosecute or not, NOT the FBI.
7. In 1996 Comey was appointed as a Senate Committee Investigator /Counsel to investigate the Clintons in Whitewater. His findings concluded no wrongdoing with the Clintons.
8. Comey and Lynch met back in the early 2000's. Comey was appointed by Bush as the U.S. Attorney for Manhattan.
9. In 2002, Bush appointed Comey as Deputy U.S. Attorney and he was tasked with investigating Bill Clintons mass pardons as he left office. Comey concluded that Clinton had done nothing wrong.
10. Comey went into private practice and in 2005.
11. In 2014, Obama appointed Comey as FBI Director. Lynch is Comeys boss, as she is the head of the parent agency, DOJ. Lynch is the chief law enforcement officer of our nation. Comey holds the number two position in the sub agency, the FBI.
At the end of the day, how do we have Lynch, previously appointed by Bill Clinton, and formerly an employee of the law firm that is connected to Hillarys email scandal, in charge of the investigation into Hillarys email scandal, with the lead investigative agency led by a man who twice investigated the Clintons and both times found them not guilty of wrong doing, also appointed by the current U.S. President, who appointed Lynch, who is Comeys boss? The FBI has confirmed to a senior Republican senator that agents were sworn to secrecy -- and subject to lie detector tests -- in the Hillary Clinton email probe, an extensive measure one former agent said could have a "chilling effect."
A July 1 letter sent by a senior deputy to FBI Director James Comey to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, detailed the restrictions on agents. The letter, reviewed by Fox News, confirmed agents signed a "Case Briefing Acknowledgement" which says the disclosure of information is "strictly prohibited" without prior approval, and those who sign are subject to lie detector tests.
"The purpose of this form is to maintain an official record of persons knowledgeable of a highly sensitive Federal Bureau of Investigation counterintelligence investigation," the agreement attached to the Grassley letter reads, "....I (FBI agent) also understand that, due to the nature and sensitivity of this investigation, compliance with these restrictions may be subject to verification by polygraph examination."
The measures show the extent to which the bureau has gone to keep additional details of the politically sensitive case from going public. While Comey has provided some information on why the FBI did not opt to pursue charges, Attorney General Loretta Lynch repeatedly ducked questions on specifics of the case at a House hearing Tuesday.

Petty Officer First Class Kristian Saucier, 29, will be sentenced this week in federal court, having pleaded guilty in May to “unlawful retention of national defense information,” a charge leveled against him under the 1917 Espionage Act, according to Politico.
[Saucier's attorney Derrick Hogan] “In our case, Mr. Saucier possessed six (6) photographs classified as 'confidential/restricted,' far less than Clinton's 110 emails,” Hogan wrote in a filing to the federal judge in Bridgeport, Connecticut. “It will be unjust and unfair for Mr. Saucier to receive any sentence other than probation for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid.”

Regardless of how one feels about The Egregious Lying & Criminal Enterprise Known as The Clintons...
Specific investigative notes might be if they asked her about a specific codeword program, even the short-title of which would be classified. However, from what I've been able to deduce, the interview was conducted by SA's who weren't even cleared for the level of material relevant to the investigation. And all she has to say is "I don't recall" (we're gonna hear that alot). Anyway, that's why.
RE ODNT's post above, I agree & call BS. She has testified that she got some training and had to sign multiple forms - she has testified that under oath. Hence why a special prosecutor should have been appointed versus the FBI "internal" investigation. She could have been found guilty of perjury during the investigation.

This article begins to make sense out of the Director Comey's actions, silly me, I thought the FBI represented integrity, justice and the interests of the American people.....when in actuality the Director is only representing his own financial interests. It sinks in that the Foundation is a pay to play scheme for the Elite's...we basically knew that but to see the rot in such black and white terms is sickening. Enlightens us on why there was no credible investigation or follow up, I expect we would find similar arraignments woven into most of the current crop of our government representatives...can't lead and legislate then just install, no accountability to worry about.

I can imagine that there might be some morale issues, but the current 'rule' (as illustrated to any thinking American) is that a criminal enterprise is determined to have her crowned, at any cost, up to and including having to order more body bags, and had its goal facilitated by the pre-eminent national investigative arm of the government.

Well, Trump said that "he" wouldn't pursue investigation, but perhaps the new Attorney General will take it upon himself to examine the evidence and indict Mrs. Klinton.
He said, so the article says, that he will not pursue her on the email thing....and that is prob a good call for the nation honestly.
However, the FBI is still investigating the foundation and that is a separate issue.
That too may be 'not prosecuted' as a prior President is involved but it could easily be the total destruction of the Clinton name/legacy and a stake in the heart of their aspirations thru their daughter Goofy who will seek a political Congressional seat at some point.

I'm not really a Clinton fan, but I think Trump has the right idea on this one. Ford pardoned Nixon, and Carter pardoned the Vietnam draft dodgers, to close a divisive era and move on. Both cases would have been ripe for further legal action, but would have continued to cause division. The efforts during Reconstruction should highlight this, where the north felt the need to make the south "pay" for the war. Bad blood continued all the way to the Spanish American War.
I doubt this is a "move", I'm sure he means it. If he wants to get his agenda through Congress he needs to mend fences, which he has been busy doing based on his actions since the 8th. I'm fairly optimistic.

Hillary Clinton recently editorialized about the second volume of special counsel Robert Mueller’s massive report. She concluded of the report’s assorted testimonies and inside White House gossip concerning President Trump’s words and actions that “any other person engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted.”
Psychologists might call her claims “projection.” That is the well-known psychological malady of attributing bad behavior to others as a means of exonerating one’s own similar, if not often even worse, sins.
After 22 months of investigation and $34 million spent, the Mueller report concluded that there was no Trump-Russia collusion—the main focus of the investigation—even though that unfounded allegation dominated print and televised media’s speculative headlines for the last two years.
While Mueller’s report addressed various allegations of Trump’s other roguery, the special counsel did not recommend that the president be indicted for obstruction of justice in what Mueller had just concluded was not a crime of collusion.
What Mueller strangely did do—and what most federal prosecutors do not do—was cite all the allegedly questionable behavior of a target who has just been de facto exonerated by not being indicted.
What Mueller did not do was explain that much of the evidence he found useful was clearly a product of unethical and illegal behavior. In the case of the false charge of “collusion,” the irony was rich.
Russians likely fed salacious but untrue allegations about Trump to ex-British spy Christopher Steele, who was being paid in part by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to find dirt on Trump.
The Russians rightly assumed that Steele would lap up their fantasies, seed them among Trump-hating officials in the Barack Obama administration and thereby cause hysteria during the election, the transition and, eventually, the Trump presidency.
Russia succeeded in sowing such chaos, thanks ultimately to Clinton, who likely had broken federal laws by using a British national and, by extension, Russian sources to warp an election. Without the fallacious Steele dossier, the entire Russian collusion hoax never would have taken off.
Without Steele’s skullduggery, there likely would have been no Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court-approved surveillance of Trump aide Carter Page. There might have been no FBI plants inserted into the Trump campaign. There might have been no subsequent leaking to the press of classified documents to prompt a Trump collusion investigation.
Given the Steele travesty and other past scandals, it is inexplicable that Clinton has not been indicted.
Her lawlessness first made headlines 25 years ago, when she admitted that her cattle futures broker had defied odds of one in 31 trillion by investing $1,000 from her trading account and returning a profit of nearly $100,000. Clinton failed to report about $6,500 in profits to the IRS. She initially lied about her investment windfall by claiming she made the wagers herself. She even fantastically alleged that she mastered cattle futures trading by reading financial newspapers.
To paraphrase Clinton herself, anyone else would have been indicted for far less.
The reason that foreign oligarchs are no longer donating millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, and that Bill Clinton is not being offered $500,000 for speaking appearances in Moscow, is simply because Hillary Clinton is not secretary of state. She is no longer in a public position to hector her colleagues into approving pro-Russian commercial deals, such as the one that gave Russian interests access to North American uranium.
As secretary of state, Clinton also sidestepped the law by setting up a home-brewed email server. She transmitted classified documents over this insecure route and lied about it. And she destroyed some 30,000 emails that were in effect under subpoena. Anyone else would have been indicted for far less.
In truth, Clinton was at the heart of the entire Russian collusion hoax. Even after the election, she kept fueling it to blame Russia-Trump conspiracies for her stunning defeat in 2016. Unable to acknowledge her own culpability as a weak and uninspiring candidate, Clinton formally joined the post-election “resistance” and began whining about collusion. That excuse seemed preferable to explaining why she blew a huge lead and lost despite favorable media coverage and superior funding.
For much of her professional life, Hillary Clinton had acted above and beyond the law on the assumption that as the wife of a governor, as first lady of the United States, as a senator from New York, as secretary of state and as a two-time candidate for the presidency, she could ignore the law without worry over the consequences.
For Clinton now to project that the president should be indicted suggests she is worried about her own potential indictment. And she is rightly concerned that for the first time in 40 years, neither she nor her husband is serving in government or running for some office, and therefore could be held accountable.

It was fully on display yesterday during the House Judicial Committee contempt vote. The Dummycrats were all speaking the same rehearsed message of stupidity. The Republicans in the chamber on the other hand knocked it out of the park for anyone watching CSPAN.
They (Dems) don’t even know how ignorant they are. They will lose come November and I can only hope they lose it all!
