I hope he hit at least one of them once. Regardless, at least he took it to them rather than just sit there like a little lamb.

Beware of brave old farts who carry concealed. Didn't see a lot of recoil with his hand so I'm thinking maybe a .22? Guess it worked.

Very cool! Shot placement is what counts the most...hopefully, he was able to do some. But, like I said, at least he got the message across to the thugs.

These two idiots don't deserve to be classified as potential mass murderers. They were there to rob an Internet cafe and a 71y/o bad ass made them pay for their stupidity. One of the better stories to come out of Florida.
I get what the video is trying to say, but not the greatest example to use for a "how to stop a mass shooting"
Hours after his release from the hospital, Henderson, who talked about the pain he feels in his buttock and hip, said the plan was to “barge in, get the money and leave.” He said “he never expected anyone to be armed.”
“The gun was broken and rusty and wasn’t loaded. Nobody was going to get hurt,” he said, standing with crutches….
Henderson theorizes the reason why he was caught off guard is because, when Dawkins entered the business, he busted a computer monitor with the baseball bat and “glass got into his face.”
“He couldn’t warn me,” Henderson said.
With the glass temporarily blinding his friend, Henderson noticed two women were behind the counter and he thought that was “fishy.” Turning around to see what the women were doing, Henderson said he was shot.
“I turned around to run and my leg gave out. That was when I got shot. I hit the ground, and he was still shooting. I thought I was going to die,” Henderson said. Henderson said that, “by the grace of God,” his “leg came back.”

Though Henderson said he doesn’t blame Williams for shooting, he takes exception with Williams shooting at him while he was down. “I was down, and I’m not going to continue to shoot you,” he said.

These were criminals yes, but we've no idea how many they might have shot........ thanks to gramps!

I wasn't trying to invalidate his response, just that the 2 morons that perpetrated the crime weren't going to shoot anyone, their gun didn't even work! (as far as armed response and the law is concerned, it is still armed robbery) I tried to find the video of their response, it is hilarious. One of them said, "...he didn't have to shoot us, our gun didn't even work!" They had not really considered the consequences. These two were prime candidates for Darwin Awards.
To that, gramps had no idea the gun wasn't operational and treated it like a sheepdog should and did the right thing, I just wish he had better shot placement so my tax dollars don't go to keeping these idiots fed.
