View Full Version : The "dangers" of cooking!
I'm just an amateur however, I've come to the conclusion why, kitchens are closed off.
While in a discussion, I left the gas grill on. As soon as hit the ignition switch...BOOM!
I now have singed hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.:o
Been there - done that.
Which is why I like Charcoal these days.

Came close to happening to me the same day. My wife had cleaned the front of the grill and knocked one of the knobs to the on position. I smelled the gas, though. ;) Is your smeller inop? :D

Sort of a similar situation. Winter time, started the grill with lid open. Once grill lit, closed grill to heat up for steak. Went in house for a few minutes. The grill had not been cleaned in a while. Some kids walking by the house start pounding on my door. Saying there is a fire in my garage. Had a pretty good fire going on the grill in the garage. Good thing I have fire extinguishers handy. Now I clean my grill all the time. And the grill stays outside.
