LOOK: Home Depot Worker Wears 'America Was Never Great' Hat

A New York City Home Depot employee has sparked an uproar by wearing a hat that said "America Was Never Great."

Krystal Lake, 22, was photographed by a customer at the Staten Island location and the picture quickly went viral.

I would think the CEO of Home Depot would be less than happy with this negative publicity. If I were a customer at that store I would make sure my displeasure was felt.

This left-wing propaganda female is a pro! She knew exactly what was going to happen.

Can you say "orchestrated"..... I'd fire her in a NY minute but she ain't going to get fired.

And yes, her "protest" is free speech, but not at work......

The 22-year-old in a life-long resident of St. George in Staten Island.

Lake is a senior at the College of Staten Island, majoring in Media Studies.

She is a programming director and host of her own variety show for CSI's radio station, WSIA-Staten Island, 88.9 FM.

Lake has been employed at Home Depot in Mariners Harbor for almost two years, and has never been disciplined for violating company policies.

Her late mother, Susan Lake-King, was a reporter and education columnist for the Staten Island Advance from 1992 to 1998.
