Got to love it when a "Supreme Court Justice" shows their real "raciest" colors. It's all about diversity (race / religion) kids, not who's the best pick for the job or what's best for the nation. Forget that 77% of Americans are white, 13% black and about 17% latino. Liberals/socialists do NOT argue with facts. And remember it's only racist if a white male says it.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor says the Supreme Court needs more diversity, amid the politically charged debate about filling a vacancy on the high court.
"I … think there is a disadvantage from having (five) Catholics, three Jews, everyone from an Ivy League school," Sotomayor, the court's first Latina justice, said Friday at Brooklyn Law School.

Through her own words...she has always identified as a Latina first, and an American second.
If the stars align and divine providence chooses to intercede, again, on 1/20/2017, I believe we could find another Clarence Thomas for her if push came to shove.

What's truly pitiful about a person like her, or anyone similar, is that they have failed to identify as human beings first and foremost. As a result, they will never be an American like you, myself, the membership on this board...that know what being an American is all about.
She should resign to help correct this disadvantage
Quite frankly, I don't care who she wants. She needs to stick to her purpose for being there and leave the picking of a replacement to those whose job it is to pick.

The fix may already be in....
Hellary wins the White House, and by previous quiet agreement, nominates Obama to be only the second ex-president to sit on the Supreme Court. (The first was Taft, who was appointed Chief Justice in 1921, and served until 1930)
So now Sotomayor would have the first biracial, possibly Muslim, (or at least apologist), anti-constitutional justice on the court. That's diversity!
God help us.....

Using her "standards" there are not enough Latino or White football or basketball players in Professional sports. If some big dumb White player who has not made the cut brings the issue to Court wonder how she would rule?:munchin

She was here in Albuquerque and Santa Fe this week. All over the news playing the Latina Card. Her security detail kicked out the press after 2 minutes from a speech. Guess she did not wanting them to be able to quote her. The first 2 minutes were all about her walking in and saying hello. In Santa Fe she did not allow any press to cover the speech.
Wonder what she does not want to be quoted on?

She proudly credits affirmative action for allowing her to get ahead. When the Supreme Court upheld Michigan's ban on that practice, she read her dissent from the bench-something she had previously said justices shouldn't do. Sotomayor is a case study showcasing diversity is about everything superficial as long as ideology is firmly on the left.
