An interesting piece from Charlie Hebdo. My apologies if this was already posted.

In the end, the piece concludes that what the young men attack is not necessarily innocent people flying home or going to work on the subway. What they attack is an abstraction — “the very notion of the secular.” Islam, this argument maintains, is anti-French, anti-modern and anti-intellectual. It silences discourse, discussion and, most of all, debate.

This reads like France doesn't have a gaggle of squawking brats marching for equality and fairness, nor a clique of "progressive" ideologues screaming over the competition about freedom of speech and religion, but a herd of sheep, lazily munching away on social programs and doing exactly what the media and the imams say they should.

LOL, well said!

And remember, it was the democrats/socialists that released islamic terrorists back into the wild and the same democrats/socialists that welcome the islamic terrorists here in America.

Great article.

At this time, given all of the events since 1979 (when I started following this issue), I believe there are Muslims who would like to shoot or stab me for just being a Christian, and the other Muslims who will let them.

This article seems to have similar thoughts

"just being a Christian"

Seriously? You really think Christians are the only religion muslims want to kill?

The muslims want to stab anyone/everyone that is not muslim.

Personally I'd like to see a world without religion...... would be a very peaceful place. :munchin

I immediately thought of a South Park episode where in the future two competing atheist networks are at war with each other.

Hahahaha. Humans.

And they do a good job of killing other muslims that are not of the correct tribe.

Dennis Prager comments on this very subject.

...The problem is not that most leading conservative thinkers are secular; it is that they don't seem to understand that a godless and Judeo-Christian-free America means the end of America, just as a godless and Judeo-Christian-free Europe has meant the end of Europe.

Streck-Fu,

Thought this was appropriate, considering that it was written in 1984, it is based on timeless middle east tradition

SnT

“So before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world. And all of us against the infidel.” (The Haj, p. 15)

Without religion? Concur.

Without Christ? We're headed that way, fast.

A true Christian is like a red wasp; leave him alone and he won't jack you up.

Dennis Prager comments on this very subject.

Dennis Prager is an idiot.

Religion does not define America or Americans. The reason the GOP is dying and will soon be gone is their medieval grasp on their religious beliefs. As soon as they stop mixing politics with religion they might start winning again. And I will not vote for a religious zealot such as Ted Cruz. As soon as anyone mentions their religion in a political speech they have lost my interest and my vote.

EU is not failing because of a loss of religion, EU is failing because of their liberal socialist politics.

I'd like Dennis Prager to explain to me how a loss of religion bankrupted Greece.....

I have said from the outset that I would vote for Donald Trump... - Dennis Prager

Ok, he's even more of an idiot than I thought...... If I really felt this way I would not vote for a politician in the first place. (see below) I believe Mr. Trump is the best chance we have to destroy the current status quo and shake up the slimebags in Washington DC.

"I have said from the outset that I would vote for Donald Trump if he were chosen as the Republican nominee. I am contemptuous of much of what he does; I don't trust what he says, and I have no reason to believe that he actually holds conservative values."
