"Special Forces proved to be everything he hoped it would. "The stuff we did was incredibly interesting, that no one else was doing," he said."

In the 3rd picture of the slide show, what's the GEN's unit? Medical?

The article says he's on the Board of the SOA. Anyone know him?

Even wilder excuse than my generation's douchebag icon, Dan Blizerian's reasons for being "dropped from BUD/s"

Thanks, Richard. I've been searching the net and couldn't find it. I never saw it before.

Linked-In profile.

Special Operations Association
Director
Member since 2008 and Director of this combat special operations group. Membership is limited to those who served in actions behind enemy lines.

Bit of an exagerator - he's a 'Board Member' and the 'limited to those who served behind enemy lines' isn't a true statement.

I had to obtain a vision waver to attend jump school, and that didn't prevent me from completing SFTG.

I was poking fun at the subject of the article. I'm certainly raising some doubts about the guy. I assume you're unfamiliar with who Dan Blizerian is: The Biggest Douchebag of my Generation (https://www.instagram.com/danbilzerian/?hl=en).

On a serious note, your vision waiver; was it for colorblindness?

No, it was for near sightedness. I don't think you could waiver color blindness for Abn.

I asked the LIST,,

SOA does not vet SF. You only need to be in a unit that supported "special operations". I have a classmate that flew a cobra in support and is in SOA..
