Super Bowls have been virtually meaningless since Tom Landry quit.

Good game; pity Carolina wasn't prepared for Denver's defense.

That was one of the best defensive games I have seen in a while.

Good job Broncos...classy.

Can't say the same for Cam Newton though, I'm glad he got taken down a notch.

I lost respect for him when he threw the race card...screw'im

I not only lost respect; I was pissed that he didn't jump on that loose ball! The SOB backed away....

Has I-I-I Cam ME-ME-ME Newton, come out yet to blame HIS team for HIS incredible loss yet? From the first pass 10' over the head of a wide-open receiver to the last fumble HE was not on the caliber of the title MVP. :boohoo

Payton Manning, now that you've broken just about every record in the NFL and have a Super Bowl ring from four different teams and three different head coaches will you answer the $64,000 question? "I can't say enough about this team, they all played so well this year, I was just along for the ride...now I'm going home to kiss my wife, hug my kids, and drink a lot of beer...Budweiser beer!!!

Classy!!! :lifter

Yeah that one was classic. He visibly recoiled instead of diving for it when he actually had a chance to recover the ball.

That's going to be talked about by the team during the off season ....especially people like linemen who are in the grind every single play. Should be all over the internet as a meme by now. In a day or two at least.

Another classy move to walk out of the post game press conference. However not going for that ball is what will be cared about by those that really matter... his teammates.

He sure did! This link (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25477272/cam-newton-is-getting-killed-for-not-diving-on-a-fumble-late-in-super-bowl) shows it perfectly. What else can we expect from a ME generation qb?

Granted, I am and always have been a Bronco fan but it has been particularly interesting to see what is rarely talked about in the media. Coach Phillips, the defensive coach was formerly the head coach of the Broncos, Gary Kubiak, the head coach was formerly the back up Quarterback, and of course John Elway is now the General Manager...my point is it's nice to see a franchise invest in themselves and carry on the legacy of Pat Bowlen....it has been very rewarding as a fan!

I could've done without the product plug - I wonder how much Budweiser paid him to mention their product twice in his post-victory interviews. :munchin

Reports are, NOTHING.
In fact, Anheuser Busch was just as surprised as everyone else when he said that.

http://www.grubstreet.com/2016/02/budweiser-peyton-manning-plug-super-bowl.html

But ....

Manning does own substantial stock in TWO Budweiser breweries and distributors.

So, it was more or less a "selfless" plug for himself. :D

Agreed. I think he had a line and he stuck to his message. Later, quoting Tony Dungy, to say, "never make an emotional decision at an emotional time, and this is an emotional time." Was about as candid as one could be.

He also said the same thing about hugging his wife and kids two separate times. He was sticking to his own internal script to not say anything dumb. I can't find fault with that.

Edit to add
I am laughing when I think of all the AB execs texting each other, "holy shit did you just hear what I did? " LoL.

Personally I thought the Panthers would wax the Broncos, not that I am a fan of the Panthers. Then I listened to that interview with Cam Newton, as if he were the first black QB in the NFL, then I listened to the pre game folks kiss his ass . By the time the game started I was all Broncos. Newton is an individual blessed with more athletic ability than he knows what to do with but he has not a shred of humility.

Cam Newton was the best offensive running back for the Denver Broncos. He rushed for almost as many yards as C.J. Anderson did in the direction of the Broncos end zone leading to the only touchdowns the Broncos would get.

He even had a primary role in the game clinching TD with only four-minutes left in regulation.

Hooray for Cam!!! :D

From one class act to another.

http://www.theplayerstribune.com/russell-wilson-peyton-manning-superbowl/

From all the wins, to the few tough losses. From the 71,000 yards, to all the touchdowns, to the few interceptions.

From all the meetings, to all the hard practices, to all the film, to all the blood, sweat and tears.

From all the Pro Bowls, to the handful of MVPs, to the two Lombardi trophies. From all the teammates, to all the opponents, to all the fans.

From the blue and white, to the blue and orange …

Sheriff,

If this is it, there’s one moment I won’t forget.

10th grade. Louisiana. At your quarterback camp.

You inspired the kid in the green shirt.

You inspired me to work hard. To be disciplined. To be respectful. To take notes.

You inspired me to love the process. To love the sweat. To love the tears.

But most of all …

You inspired me to love the game.

Thanks, Peyton.

If this is it,

Thanks.

I didn't really care who won, but didn't think Denver's defense could shut down Newton like that. Pretty impressive.

I was glad that Manning got his Super Bowl win, and can now retire like a champion. He has been a class act. We won't get to see many quarterbacks like him.

Peyton Manning is a stud.

After years of carrying teams on his back, I'm glad he went out like he did. I was in 8th grade when he was drafted - in middle school - and now I'm 30 years old and a father. I've got a lot of great memories centered around games he's played.

I hope he calls it. He's earned it.

Nice to see Manning get another ring.

He knows what it takes to win.
In the NFL he's lost 93 games, thrown 276 interceptions, and was also crushed in a Super Bowl 2 years ago.

The difference between winners and losers:
Winners often accumulate more losses, but they don't quit.

Me too, been through the tough losses the wins and now 8 super bowls with 3 championships. The Broncos have always been a great fan friendly organization and the Bowlen family love it's fans and does everything they can to win games with the best talent they can get. Too bad Osweiller is up for grabs he is Bronco material the bones of yet another great Bronco QB with a year of taking control of the team he would take them to another SB. You gotta love a team with loyal owners dedicated to winning.

There's ass & there's class. We got to see both.

Cam? Properly engineered, that's what idles your Camaro RS over the HS parking lot speed bump on its own initiative.

Congrats Broncos!
