It's one thing to be the top shot at the unit home range, or top shot at the local 3gun/2-gun/IPSC/IDPA/GSSF/etc matches with all the Gucci gear, it's quite another to duke it out with everybody and their uncle on a level playing field using as-issued gear. So if you're not busy with deployment or pre-deployment/cyclic training to liberate the oppressed in some forsaken land, come out and play.

There will the TWO eic pistol events and TWO eic rifle events this year.
So for those chasing that bronze/silver/gold chest candies, there's no better event. Also for those curious about bullseye shooting, you get to try that issue M9 at 50 yards standing one handed. It's going to be ugly  ...but FUN :D
Can't wait for the endless entertainment at the end of the match from the assortment of creative excuses for the misses :D

Thanks.

I'd love to see if Big Army prints out a list of competitors, some of those Guard Boys ('specially us in the Glorious People's Republic of California :o ) run our own very capable course.

CA NG did indeed very well last year, especially in the novice category.

They don't make them like this anymore. Shot with my 100 year old P08 Luger in 9mm, freehand at 80 yards.

Won some. Lost many. Got distinguished! :lifter

Ate a lot of humble pies too! Acquisition, transition, and par time are definitely perishable. I was surprised my multi-gun and steel challenge leadslinging suuuck big time after over a year of precision work and no action shooting. But I still beat the competitor from a certain unit at the pistol-only stage :)

I was surprised there weren't much cussing and resistance over the bullseye course. Soldiers listened to the excellent AMU pistol team instruction and applied it accordingly. A bunch of teachable professionals showed up this year.

Thanks Rick!
I wish master Gene Econ is still around here. I want to show his and your service rifle mentoring/performance psychology was not wasted on me. At the same time, that was a total surprise. I think the good Lord just moved the rounds from 5 and 6 ring to 10, 9, 8, and x's :D That's the only explanation I could come up with
