Also on the list are BLM, Caitlyn Jenner and Rouhani. If any of the four win, Time should be completely ostracized by everyone in the US. They won't be, but should be. The other 4 are legitimate whether I agree with them or not.

I would like to see a "Nobody" from "Nowhere USA" win for once for doing something good rather than another hack.

Oh well...it's always nice to dream!

It isn't like Time magazine hasn't made a cottage industry out of putting the bottom of the barrel as the 'Person of the Year' on the front of their rag...

1938 - Adolf Hitler
1939 - Joey Stalin
1942 - Joey Stalin
1957 - Nicky Khrushchev
1979 - Ruhollah Khomeini
2007 - Vlad Putin

So I ask you... why NOT put the leader of ISIS on the cover?
I'd venture to say that both militarily and politically he has been more successful than the President of the United States and the leaders of the European Union.
Give him the cover... he's earned it.

I remember once they put the American Soldier on the cover back in 2004? I'm seeing now how they really saw us then.:D

I'd go for Merkel. She's the only one who has timing and headspace right.

Man of the Year?

Come on, it's 2015, you don't need a penis to be a man anymore.

Sohei

It's very seldom ever "Man" of the Year anymore...it should usually be "Male" of the Year.

There are a lot of males out there, but there appears to me to be a shortage of "Men".

Who, is in jeopardy of losing them.As is Sarkozy in France, running again. Gains by Marine Le Pen's FN are making their libs (currently in) and Sarkozy's effort to keep pace look like their version of Cherchez Le Donald in a way.

Couple of Le Pen's quotes, 5yrs apart, which apparently are resonating:

“Islamist fundamentalism must be annihilated, France must ban Islamist organisations, close radical mosques and expel foreigners who preach hatred in our country as well as illegal migrants who have nothing to do here”

- Marine Le Pen
after the Paris attacks, January 2015

“The progressive Islamisation of our country and the increase in political-religious demands are calling into question the survival of our civilisation.”

- Marine Le Pen
in a 2010 interview with the [UK]Telegraph
Balls clearly not required. Time's award is no longer relevant.

Those quotes make the Donald sound like a member of the Friends church. And just when was the last time that Time magazine was relevant?

For me, never.
