View Full Version : Here's your sign
This is an actual sign posted in the bathrooms at the Fox Studios out in Playa Vista, CA.
Have we REALLY reached a point where we have to tell people NOT to drink the water from toilets?
What gets me is, the ones who we have to remind not to ... can vote.

Sign of the time Sir, sign of the times...
The signal to leave California, when that sign is in Spanish.

Bloody hell. Thats me ,going thirsty again.

I mean, granted when I got bit by that dog one time, I had this incredible urge to drink from the toilets, but I didn't need a sign to tell me NOT to.
As touchy feely as the folks are out in Kalifornia , the logical expanation would be that the signs are probably intended for all the service animals that frequent the buildings. I am sure that the toilets that do not use reclaimed water are properly marked as a potable water source.

That or POTUS was due to come in for an interview. :p

But don't ya think that they would have spent an extra nickel or two and put at the top ...
"Service animal owners"
That would have made much more sense, wouldn't it?
.
Oh wait a sec .... This IS California we're talkin about here. Things that make sense DON'T happen out there.
Nevermind ..... :munchin

Was he bringing Michelle with him this time?

You single out any particular group out there and someone is going to feel marginalized. We can't have that now can we?
The saddest part of it to me is that there are humans who have "devolved" to the level that those are even necessary.
And as always...they vote!

Hey, just cause we are both African doesn't mean we don't have class. I use a straw.

That was good but everybody knows that he has an army of lackeys carrying his water, especially out there in the land of fruits and nuts.
As touchy-feely as the folks are out in Kalifornia, the logical explanation would be that the signs are probably intended for all the service animals that frequent the buildings.
...I had no idea that service animals were so well trained that they could read

[Ok, revised note to self: No fishing with GuyMullins in Africa, on any lakes from boats of any size. No water jumps, in Africa, ever and absolutely no drinking if GuyMullins offers you a "water".]
OK, never attribute to ill motives what can reasonably be explained by stupidity.
It is (theoretically) well known that in the event of a loss of water supply
due to power outage, flood, hurricaine, tornado, etc., there is an emergency source of water in the SUPPLY TANK (NOT the bowl) of toilets, since the common American toilet uses potable water as the flushing source. For that matter, we also use potable water to pressurize our fire hydrants.
I suspect that what the sign MEANT to say was:
"We use gray water (recycled water) to flush the toilets, so in an emergency
DO NOT think water in the supply tanks to the toilets is clean potable water."
Of course, such a sign is meaningless -- and will subject you to well deserved
ridicule -- when posted above a toilet or urinal flushed by a vaccuum break
system without a storage tank.

DING, DING, DING! We have a winner! You are correct, sir. In this case, earthquakes. Quakes often sever water lines.
