Boy Scouts about to be sued because they won't accept girls

Five girls who very much want to be Boy Scouts found out Friday in Santa Rosa that a grown-up scout might be, as the code requires, trustworthy, loyal and friendly. But not all that helpful.

The girls, who have been trying in vain for months to become full-fledged members of the Boy Scouts of America, descended on the monthly meeting of the North Bay scout council, official applications in hand.

One by one, under the watchful eyes of parents, they trooped to the head table and plopped their applications in front of council president John Carriger.

“I’d like to be a Boy Scout,” each girl said.


We should have seen this coming- actually lots of folks have for some time now and the Boy Scouts have seen lots of kids leaving. I'd say that lots of boys are leaving because their parents are fed up with the PC-ness takeover of the BSA as well as the rest of the institutions in this country.

The greatest sin today is exclusion. Not, of course, if you are of a protected category, but if you belong to any category that is somehow associated with the majority or a traditional "exploitative class" of folks- then you can't exclude others or you are the Devil incarnate.

The irony, of course, is that a lot of these social justice warriors are hell-bent on killing these organizations- not making them stronger like they say...

Screw the wisdom that demands boys spend time with men away from woman for healthy maturation. Screw utilizing the girl scouts or the 5 likely other solutions they have available to them.

They said admitting girls would reverse the decline in scouting enrollment. They said that scout groups in nearly every other country admit girls. They noted that the Boy Scouts had recently reversed its long-standing policy against gays in scouting, and argued that opening the organization to girls would be a logical next step.

“We’re offering scouting the opportunity to be unique in its recruiting methods,” Danelle Jacobs said.

BSA should make open admission to admit transgender girls! You know, chicks with you-know-what. Then have them use the fresh female boy-scouts recruits living quarter, bathroom, everything. After admitting gays and girls, the transgender and other "it" variants would be a logical step. Hey, the scout should be unique in its recruiting methods, savvy?

The Unicorns said they want to be Boy Scouts, not Girl Scouts. There's nothing wrong with Girl Scouts, said 10-year-old Skyler Westover, but they take naps and write letters during their meetings instead of running around doing outdoors things. Boy Scouts, she said, were a “better fit” for the Unicorns.

There was a battle a number of years ago by women, who demanded that the Boy Scouts allow them to become Boy Scout Leaders (as they do for Cub Scouts). They insisted that it was discrimination to exclude them from being able to participate as guides for these young boys.

This was argued at a Santa Barbara, California City Counsel meeting at the same time as it was being discussed elsewhere. I had the fortune of being present at that meeting, though I had originally been there to speak on another issue.

When it was my turn to speak, I discarded my original presentation and argued that if women were allowed to be Boy Scout Leaders, and take them fishing, hunting and on unsupervised camping trips, then I should be allowed to become a Girl Scout Leader, and help them sell cookies, bake goods, and take them on UNSUPERVISED CAMPING TRIPS as well! I still remember the gasps from the audience!:D

The discussion ended rather quickly after that....... Point Won!

The girls are members of the Unicorns, a club organized by longtime den mother Danelle Jacobs of Sebastopol. For the past year, the troop had been allowed to participate in some scouting activities as part of the scouts’ Learning for Life program.

From its description, the program covers in great detail all the points in the first 20 pages of the Cub Scout handbook (aka, the "Youth Protection" booklet).

It sounds like Ms. Jacobs has been grooming these girls for this moment, and should have whatever paperwork allowing her to work with these girls under the auspices of BSA's "Learning for Life" program revoked. As a former camp staff, it pains me to say that BSA may need a new chapter in their Youth Protection Training to teach adult leaders not to abuse their privileged status for political purposes, and proper reporting procedure when such an individual is identified.

I was going to mention Venturing as well but that doesn't hange that if these girls want to camp and build fires and stuff, they form their own troop and set their own activities.

The only thing I could think of is that, at 10, these girls are too young for Venture. But still, nothing is stopping their troop from camping.

They just want a reason to sue the BSA.

I think the way the Social Justice Warriors aim to bring down the majority is by making it impossible for anyone who is not a protected class to enjoy the freedom of association. So, if you are a male, you cannot have your own exclusive groups (Boy Scouts, male-only combat arms in military, male-only golf clubs, etc.).

If you are heterosexual, you cannot have your own locker rooms or sports teams. Being "cis-gendered" is considered worse than racism...

If you are in any way "advantaged"- you must feel guilty about it and have your "advantages" nullified. I can see people who were raised by two parents to be "parental-advantaged" and thus should be taxed at a higher rate (along with those of us who are "ableist," "sexist" (those men who do not believe women should receive the same pay as men- no matter what job they are in, how much work they do, or anything else that would result in unequal pay), "racist" (defined now as those Whites who don't favor the minimum wage being raised to $15, free health care, free college, reparations, and voting Democrat), and "heteronormativist" (defined now as cis-gendered men who do not support social justice for LBGTQI'ers).

Being exclusionary is now the ultimate social sin. The inquisition is on- either admit to your sins or you will be tortured at the stake of social pressure, lose your job, and be forced to suffer the rest of your life...
