This is easily a candidate for inclusion into the top novel's about the Viet Nam war. The perspective is that of a NVA soldier who fought and died there. It's an amazing read, not ideological.

I don't think so. If there are those that proceed no further then wiki, they are missing a tremendously rich read, filled with cultural insights, uncertainty and the unknowable; harboring similar emotions, the mirrored reflection is at once recognizable and daunting.
