I feel sorry for all those currently in the military and that continue to serve with HONOR.

It seems the liberal scum has destroyed military "justice". If anyone deserved life in prison it was this pillow-biting bottom feeding coward.

Lt. Col. Mark Visger, you're a spineless coward and you dishonor the uniform.




Officer in Bergdahl Hearing Recommends No Jail Time, His Lawyers Say

The Army officer who presided over Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's preliminary hearing last month has recommended that he should not face any jail time or a punitive discharge for charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, the sergeant's lawyers said.

Bergdahl's civilian attorney Eugene Fidell confirmed to ABC News that Lt. Col. Mark Visger "recommended that the charges be referred to a special court-martial and that a punitive discharge and confinement would be inappropriate given all the circumstances."

I am saddened by the fact that I am not surprised.

It truly would have been nice if I could have been gladdened by their decision, but...I am not.

A sad day for America and a disservice to all those have served honorably and more importantly those who, though afraid and far from their homes, stood fast in the face of their country's enemies though it cost them their health and future livelihood... or their lives.

Not good but this is a recommendation at this time and the info is from the defense lawyer. An LTC makes this decision wtf?

Exactly what I was thinking when I read the article.

Sets one hell of a "military" precedent, desert your post in the face of an armed enemy and absolutely no punishment.

It will work wonders for the new "liberal" soldiers, run away, run away!!!!!

Nothing has NOW been said that he will be getting a Discharge??!!??

So if he doesn't get discharged, he has no record of this action in his performance record?? Nothing will be in his disciplinary record??

So a slap on the wrist??

So unlike SFC Martland this POS would not come up before a QSP or QMP review board??!!
