"Viking warriors of Norse myths were escorted to Valhalla, a great hall ruled by Odin himself, by winged women know as valkyries.
Two modern day warriors undertaking their own "Ride to Valhalla" are traveling by bicycle.
Zach Garner and Adam Smith, Special Forces soldiers who first met in Southern Pines, are roughly half way into their cross country trek to raise money for a nonprofit that helps the families of special operations soldiers...."
Ride safe guys.

Zack and Adam stayed at the house on their stop in town.... they got showers, beer, a Viking helmet, food, beer, shots, more beer, food, and got to the range to shoot. they also talked to the Youth Challenge Program while here. Good guys, support them as best you can, they are our Brothers.
BTW, the FRS/NRS was the Regimental Flag flying from the house.

Tried clicking on the link (from FayObserver) and couldn't access their crowdrise site. Wanted to donate to the cause. Any word on whether or not they're still accepting donations?
The link I tried is as follows:

Try this: http://www.taskforcedagger.org/ride_to_valhalla.htm and then go to the crowdrise site from there, it will work.
$10 from every T-shirt sold here http://www.uncommon-breed.com/products/ride-to-valhalla goes directly to Zack and Adam's cause. The T-shirts are bad ass... a Viking on the front.... pay attention to the beard, 'Murica!!!

Do you have his number? If not PM me, he will answer texts and call when he has a chance.
Story:
We were told about the fundraiser in Helena via e-mail from CH28 and went on out... I was wearing my Pineland flag hat (I need a new one, Al) so my bona fides were good... started chatting with the guys, and the SF bond was strong, so we asked about their route... they planned on staying over in our town in a day or two (elevation changes on their route were incredible)... so, the Troll says... F*%^ You Guys, you're staying at our place, food, beer, rehydration liquids, whatever you need just let us know before you hit town, it'll be there, no arguments. blank looks for a sec, Zack and Adam look at each other and say "F*%^ You? I guess we got told." Then I said... "Well, you can argue with my wife." (ask RB, TS, Gits, or a few others if that's a good idea) they stayed at the house... fed, beered, a new rehydration/recovery drink designed, time at the range (ammo supplied) and bacon for breakfast... They got a Viking Helmet too, with a sharpie inscription...."Front Towards Enemy"....
I can only hope that they receivedthe same treatment their whole trip.
