Thought some of you guys might find it interesting.
In other news, the Marine Corps is now reporting that the grass is green.
...next thing you know, they will be telling us that water is wet and the sky is blue

Well, its nice to see that at least one branch of the military hasn't caved to political correctness. To bad it isn't the Army.

Yeah, I may have to finally fit my head in that jar.....

Be sure and send me a picture......:D
The problem here is going to be former MS governor Ray "Hollywood Handsome with a Hairlip" Mabus, the SecNav. His heart and other parts hemorrhage so freely that he has to change tampons every two hours. He has stated that the study (proof/logic) will not change his opinion on opening all jobs to all genders. F#*K combat effectiveness!

As has been said before - force gender integration into professional sports - particularly full contact sports - first.
Televise the brutal effects of full force hits from men on women and let the masses see the devastation in its full glory. Remind them all that there a rules to keep the athletes safe that do not exist in combat, and that there is a difference between playing a game and entering a zero-sum conflict - do so before and after every match and after every injury sustained by a woman.
If they can stomach it and ask for more, then begin the talks of opening combat roles to women.

Damn....I guess I'll have to stick to poisoning dying children to within an inch of their death...

Just force it at the service Academies.
Just force it at the service Academies.
I think you might have something there ....
Say, start with pillow fights and as it gets more widely accepted, the cadets/middies/zoomies could slip bricks, rocks, k-pots etc. into their cases
Start by broadcasting it on Spike TV then as it gets more and more accepted, move it over to ESPN2.
Ima gonna start me a go-fund-me page and get this going .... :munchin
Just force it at the service Academies.
That will never work. It will just get spun as another example of the military abusing women and protecting the hypermale military culture.

Leave it to the fricken Marines to actually stand up...

You are right, the women would be abused and that would be definately be unfair so we would have to ensrue that there would be a General Officer faculty advisor for each team to monitor practices and approve the coaches ordering of the depth chart.. but I'm sure those issues could be overcome.
The outcome however would be that the teams would be more diverse... From the training that I have received in the Army I know there is strength in diversitay. So our acdemy teams would therefore be stronger across the board.
I see no downside and besides I would love to see the now stronger academy teams competing for national championships.

First they would do a school-wide search of possible applicants, then they would receive time off of school in order to train specifically for the pillow fight...then they would go into the pillow fight with their own coach and mentor so that .... sometimes it's too difficult and takes too long to be witty and sarcastic. (where does billy find the time)?

I don't think you understand. Women employ different, but equally effective, means of conflict resolution.

No surprise to me. Since the 1980s,at least, no one else has. If Mabus doesn't derail this, the two Rangerettes and women grunts will be the new Katie Wilder-just ripples on a pond. I spent 6 years with the Marine Corps, 18 years with the Army, enlisted to field grade. Service-wide, not just elite units, the two have a very different mindset.
I once saw some Marine Corps documentary or another on the History Channel. The narrator, Bill Kurtis, ended it with, "the Marines are the last true believers." I do think he may be right.
Ain't it nice to have a token Jarhead around?
The SecNav has already made noise about this being an 'unfair' test.....Yes Mr. President...Yes Sir, I get it Sir....
...Ain't it nice to have a token Jarhead around?
Indeed it is...;)
Even if it turns out to be an exercise in futility...I am glad they are doing what they can rather than just rolling over and taking it.
End of the end, they may lose, but at least they will lose fighting the battle standing up and not on their knees...

But he has to go head to head with Dunford and Dunford is a warrior and SECNAV is a little mommy's boy who probably wears dresses at home.
Maybe the first time we watch on TV a female soldier's half naked brutalized body drug down a street and hung up on a bridge, our nation just might ask why we "let" this happen.
