America is officially dead.

The United States military has been forced by the left-wing to "look the other way" and now, embrace the sexually deviant.

This now includes child rape by our "allies". And now we (America) decide to punish the defender of the victim.

We've come full circle.

I'm done now, I think I'll throw all that Army shit in the trash, as it stands for nothing.

The liberal/progressive/socialists have won the day.

After this incident, we, as a nation, should not open our collective mouths about another single country and their human rights violations.

If we turn an eye to their actions and approve of them by punishing those who stood against it, then who are we to tell another country they are wrong.

As I see it, America, stands for nothing.

Seven years ago I would have said it was not possible to destroy America or its military, I was wrong. We've now destroyed the very heart of the American military, the Special Operations. No honor, no integrity, and we will bow to our islamic/ muslim rapists "allies". Doing the "hard right" is no longer the proper path to take. And that path is being forced from the top down.

I did not see the left-wing liberals embracing islam as they do, embracing the sunni terrorists and giving nuclear tech to a nation that held 53 American hostages for 444 days. Those 444 days were the beginning of the end, America's bowing to our islamic masters.

I do not see a bright future for this nations young men and women. This is not the America I grew up in.

The 11-year-old's mother was being interviewed by investigators. St. Louis County police spokesman Sgt. Brian Schellman described her as cooperative with the investigation.

Fox2Now reported that police want to know why the children were home alone and why the 11-year-old had access to a gun. Police believe the mother bought the gun after prior break-in attempts

My Mom had to leave for work an hour before school, by age 10 I was making my own breakfast, walking to school, working 8 hours a day during the summer and driving equipment. Today my Mom would be charged with Child Endangerment and I would be scooped up by CPS.

I don't think it's over quite yet. I think we are in for more transformation, as people keep turing against the Christian-Judeo ideals to the point where we are being persecuted, not just thrown in jail for not following rules directly against our deepest helf beliefs, but actually publicly persecuted. I just want to know, when this is all over, what territory do we claim? I'm guessing the midwest-central mountain region.:munchin

So, to you SF soldiers, past and present. I would wager a paycheck or 12 that during your Robin Sage exercise, maybe just maybe, a soldier or two has been presented with a scenario very similar to the one in which TS (et all) is flabbergasted. I would imagine the student would be presented a scenario in which a "friendly" foreign national has committed what by any standard is a crime. Or that a "friendly" foreign national has done something that is morally or ethically questionable. Cadre watch and evaluate the student(s) reaction, thought process, decision making, tact and other behaviors.

Based on what information has been made public, I would argue if the Army felt compelled to act, a Letter of Reprimand (at most) be issued or some other form of minimal non-permanent disciplinary action be issued. Given the fact this SF NCO has been removed from service, what message does this send to other guys in the field and how will this incident be officially related to SF soldiers by leadership ? How with this event be portrayed to SF candidates as I am sure this will be talked about in the pipeline and how will this effect the force. If your boss is standing in front of you, towing the company line, telling you that the NCO in question deserved what happened to him how do you react to that? I would likely get myself jammed up....

ODA's should have as an attachment.... an LE guy who has experience writing and articulating use of force encounters so all the pre attack indicators can clearly explain a legal and justified use of force.

In Texas, it is an affirmative defense to prosecution of making a firearm accessible to a child (younger than 17-years of age) that the child's access to the firearm 'consisted of lawful defense by the child of people or property.' So, instead of focusing on why the kid had access (and further traumatizing the family), the first determination would be whether or not the use of deadly force was justified. If so, then then the question of 'why' the child had access becomes irrelevant.

This nations collective conscience is in a hot air balloon, headed out to sea. Weak and unsure of itself.

It makes me think of the closing moments of "Kill Bill" when Bill is talking about Superheros...

...a staple of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero and there's the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn't become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears - the glasses, the business suit - that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He's weak... he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race.

...and Superman came to America to do his work, to fight "The never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way."

"Truth, Justice, and the American way" - it sounds great as a tag line for a comic book. It has become an offensive insult if we are to believe the aMErican limousine liberal ideology.

That is an excellent question and yes those types of events are presented and evaluated throughout the Q-Course. I will not go into the details beyond pass/fail, but know that getting or giving an ass chewing and an azimuth correction is expected.

The problem here in regards to SFC Martland and CPT Quinn, is that it got to this level and no one (with the authority to fix it) is stepping in to correct it. A GOMOR or other non-judicial punishment should not normally terminate your career.

IMHO and as we continue to go down the rabbit hole of persecuting people for minor lapses in sound judgment and due diligence we will create the atmosphere where either doing nothing or doing the extreme is the norm.

If the rule of law is predicated on good moral character. Once we strip those bare of meaning the rules change - there are no rules!

It ain't over yet, in fact it hasn't even gotten interesting yet. What we are witnessing is a microcosm of social change in a macro social media explosion. Sure, it's leaning hard left for now, but in the not so distant future the rats at the top of the pole will begin to fall off, followed desperately by those that see light at the top of the pole and charge ahead blinded by greed and social enlightenment.

Alls we need is to be there at the right time in history with a sharp axe and a steady swing and the pole will snap cleanly at the base. (C4 works too)

We are going to need strong people of moral conviction, the courage to have a vision, and the aptitude to affect change moving forward as we foster a new beginning. The silent majority have been patiently waiting and watching the circus come and go, when the last loaf of bread has been handed out it will be time.

As I watch this mass exodus from Northern Africa and the unrelenting influx of migrants into Western Europe and beyond...we will in our lifetime see the collapse of socialism once and for a very long time.

Until then, keep your hatchet scoured and your powder dry, that duffle bag full of kit might still be useful.

Those were some amazing insights OD and IMHO spot on. This is not the first time society was at a tipping point in my lifetime although some would believe it is the end of the world. Unfortunately most people don't remember who Harry Truman was, but this is one of my favorite quotes of his. "America was not built on fear. Fortunately, I didn't have to interact much with the losers/eaters.

I'm still supremely confident the U.S. Represents some of the best stuff in the world.

I've always thought the "greatest country in the world" part was dangerously arrogant.

While I believe it to be true in some respects, it certainly isnt in others(but could be).

I honestly believe that if you folks can fix political campaign finance most other major problems in the U.S. Will be sorted as positive 1st, 2nd, 3rd order effects over the following decades.

I met a load of Americans who will surely stand up and do the right thing and get very actively engaged, as long as they have leadership worthy of them.

I'm still glass half full on America, minus the hubris from some ignorant folks.

While in essence... you are correct in that 'people' are making their choices... While 'America'... is not yet 'truly dead'.. it is absolutely headed for destruction. I personally attribute this to MY generation ( Baby-Boomer's ) who unlike most of OUR families growing up, did NOT ( as the song say's ) 'Teach our children well'..
Much of my generation ( the Vietnam era ) continued to 'party', throw our kids in daycare ( and in front of the t.v. and VERY bad video games ) and soon- it became the 'new norm' that our kids were somehow supposed to raise THEMSELVES with morals, standards and heck yea, belief in a higher power! I remember going home on a 1-week leave many years ago. I was invited to a 'party' at some friends house. Must have been about 11:00 p.m. when I got there. Not only were all these people, who I once junior high & high school, wasted.. They weren't getting married, pumping out kids left & right and not going to any kind of religious services ( though they had during THEIR youth ) and no longer 'teaching' what is 'good' or 'bad' or right or wrong?? Then I noticed... there were babies in diapers crawling around underfoot on the filthy beer can/bottle and pot/cigarette ash strewn floors.. Disgusted, I left- never to return. I married- finally, at 55 years old. and unbeknownst to me- to a woman who was about as liberal/progressive as they come. During our year previous, I took all the smiling, nodding or silence as 'supporting' my positions as far as America was concerned. Damn..was I wrong!! Realizing that she knew too much about me...my background.. that she would one day, at the least- turn me in or get me killed. After we went our separate ways a few short years ago, I have kept largely to myself... ONLY associate with ( proven ) friends who would ( hopefully ) watch my back etc. No, America will not be dead until the very few of us left- go to battle perhaps one day soon ( against our modern counter-parts who might very well be in for a big surprise at our ferocity! ) and we fall.... THEN...America will be dead... With Respects...

I disagree with the attitude of "America is officially dead"!

As long as MEN say these motto's America is alive and well. :lifter

Uno Para Todos Y Todos Para Uno' - One For All And All For One-
This was the motto of what was commonly called 'The School Of The Americas', located at Ft. Sherman, Panama. Ft. Sherman, also home of the JOTC 'Jungle Operations Training Center' -Used the motto and the unit SSI and also the Jungle Expert Qualification Patch- was a depiction of one of Columbus' sailing ships.

"De Oppresso Liber" - 'From Oppression We Shall Liberate Them'. Loosely translated -'To Free The Oppressed'. Is the motto of the Special Forces and is written on the SF DUI. (Anyone know the origin of 'The Electric Butter Knife')

"Anything, Anytime, Anyplace" - is from the 7th Special Forces Group
"Sine Pari" -"Without Equal" motto of the USASOCM, Army Special Operations Command.

"Silent, Swift & Deadly" -was first used by the 1st Bn 75th Infantry (RANGER) the original Ranger Battalion, circa 1973. This prior to the creation of the 75th Ranger Regiment, Regimental Headquarters and the other Battalions. Later on, one of the Navy SEAL Groups changed it and used "Swift, Silent And Deadly".

The Army Ranger Motto that is spoken daily is "Rangers Lead The Way" -This from WWII, was actually spoken as an order, addressed by a General Officer to a Ranger LT. on Omaha Beach. When all were pinned down on the beach by enemy fire, they needed to blow a hole in the retaining wall for the troops to move off the beach. He yelled to the Ranger LT.
"RANGERS-Lead The Way" as an order for them to move forward and blow the wall. That became the Ranger motto.
-Sua Sponte, which means 'Of Their Own Accord' is the motto on the Ranger Regimental Crest.

It's custom to greet officers and especially other Rangers or SF personnel with a greeting. Such as: 'Rangers Lead The Way Sir!' or 'Airborne Sir!' -When asked 'How Far'? you'd answer 'All The Way'.
Also Semper Fidelis- Always Faithful, the Motto of the United States Marine Corps.
I've like the motto "Sic semper tyrannis" is a Latin phrase meaning "thus always to tyrants!

I appreciate your optimism and faith in America's warriors. I wish I could share it.

It is hard not to agree with TS though. In JUST the last 7 years:

We have "walked" guns across the border and watched as our own were murdered with them. No one in office paid for this.
An American ambassador and his security contingent were murdered and possibly raped, then drug through the streets of Benghazi. No one in office paid for this.
We've seen the TSA time and time again abuse their authority, we've yet to see this organization that's there to protect us from terrorist, catch a terrorist.
We've seen the Supreme Court legislate from the bench and pass the ACA.
We've seen the Supreme Court legislate from the bench and "legalize" gay marraige.
We've seen the US Military discharge a Green Beret for standing up for a little boy.
We've seen Obama declare that immigration policy is not to be enforced.
We've seen Hillary making a mockery of the office of SECSTATE and laugh in the face of law, security, and lie to the family of a slain Ambassador.

These are just the few things I can think of off the top of my head. Do a few bullet points highlighting the corruption and lack of integrity and morality existing in the highest offices in America mean America is dead? No, but 7 years ago, in America:

A married couple could be assumed to be a man and a woman.
You didn't have to have insurance if you didn't want it.
#AllLivesMattered
National debt was closer to 10 trillion than 20
Israel was still an ally
There was no "homophobia", "islamaphobia", "microagression" or gender confusion

For a liberal, America just keeps getting better and better. Entitlement programs are expanding, immigrants are receiving 2nd ammendment rights to go along with their free healthcare, free education, SNAP etc. Any person can be any nationality, gender, sexuality or species that they identify with, and the country will be proud of them and salute their bravery. The military is shrinking, we just made besties with Iran, you can smoke weed in 5 states, Putin is getting cooler and cooler and the first black President is going to be on a "survival" show! Gnarly dude!

For a conservative, a centrist, a libertarian though, we have seen the NSA as well as other federal agencies step all over our right to privacy, we have watched the President of this country bow to foreign dignitaries, snuggle with muslims, and pander to criminals. We have seen gay pride colors displayed on the white house, homo's blowing eachother during a televised parade on cable TV, we have been searching for the war on women, instead we found a war on cops.

We have watched a tiny woman jailed because she didn't want her name on a gay marriage license due to her personal convictions, meanwhile there are a slew of Republicans in Washington who have done nothing they were elected to do while demonstrating they have no convictions about anything, at all.

No, America is not dead, and I pray that at some point in the future she will work her way past the socialism she is sprinting towards. The America I know and love though, she is on her death bed, rife with cancer, she is fighting for air in hopes that if she can just hold out long enough, the cure she so desperately needs will come.

I only hope that the doctors that hold her cure are not all busy right now getting high and banging each other in the ass while high-fiving each other over their free health care and how well Bernie Sanders is doing in the polls.

Imagine America has been locked in a tower...

Locked in a tower because her leaders allowed pride and ego to make promises that the leaders themselves could not keep. While Americas leaders remain free, America has been locked in the tower, and forced to spin straw into gold or she will be executed in the morning. Hopeless and lost, America trades away a prized family heirloom to entice a mysterious elf into helping her produce the gold. The elf takes the heirloom, spins the gold, and disappears into the night.

...but its not enough. The king wants MORE gold so America stays locked in the tower and forced to produce more gold for the king.

Again, America has to make a deal with the mysterious elf to produce the gold. This time she has to trade away her last bit of personal wealth to get the elf to produce the gold.

...but it is STILL not enough. The king wants even MORE gold for his coffers. America remains locked away in the tower, all because of the greed and corruption of her leaders. America simply doesn't have the resources to produce the gold.

Still, she remains locked in the tower...
Stripped of her wealth...
Stripped of her most beloved possessions...

This time when the elf comes to produce the gold, America has nothing left to barter with. She has traded away the last of her resources to pay the debt placed on her by her incompetent leaders. If America does not produce the gold by morning, the king will surely have her executed.
The elf extracts from her a promise that her future generations will be given to the elf and when she agrees to the terms, he spins the room full of gold a final time.

The kings greed is briefly sated and he agrees to release America from the tower. All seems well until that day when the elf returns to claim Americas children.

America offers him all the wealth she has to secure the safety and well being of her children but it is too late; the elf has no interest in treasure. The elf is only interested in controlling Americas future. America has been sold out by her leaders and the elf has returned to collect his payment.

The problem is, we are living in the real world. Life isn't a Grimm's fairy tale, and the "elf" in this story isn't named Rumpelstiltskin.
The elf in this story is reality. The reality is that our leaders have promised that America can spin straw into gold knowing full well that it would be the rank and file American held to task to pay for this folly and NOT the corrupt politicians that have made a profession out of abusing the public trust.

Well said, Billy.

To make matters worse, our citizens elected these leaders, knowing (or should have known) that the huge bill would come due at some point, but not really caring.

Liberty cannot be maintained and perpetuated by imbeciles.

The Space Needle and I are the same age. I know there are guys here older than me. What's that mean? I've witnessed a lot of changes in my life. I've also been pleasantly surprised by humanity stepping up and righting wrongs.

In light of the next couple days...on 9/11/2001, when I walked into my house to see why I couldn't make it to work, I sat there looking at the tv. After finally saying to my wife, "well, they finally did it." The next few words were, "I sure as hell hope we don't go to war over this, it will bankrupt the country. Now, let's see if the political leadership of the country have the balls to use a few dozen of those tactical nukes and target every known terrorist training camp we know about." Shoved our red, white and blue fist in the air and proclaimed to the world - Don't Fuck with the USA!

We didn't do that. We chose two protracted wars and have since changed the balance of world power...decidedly not in our favor.

Proud of the efforts for those that have fought, but at what cost. The freedoms lost are greater than the lives that have been lost relative to that day.

It simply amazes me though that Bush's wars were bad (they were), and all the inept wars started or continued by Obama are okay by the people who were against it before they were for it.

The next 15-20 years. Will be different and probably not in a good way. But again, in my lifetime I have been pleasantly surprised by humanity.

The indoctrination continues.

7th Graders in Tennessee Made to Recite ‘Allah Is the Only God’ in Public School

Middle school parents in Tennessee are up in arms on learning that their children were instructed to recite and write, “Allah is the only god,” as part of a world history project.

In the Maury County School District, students were assigned a Five Pillars of Islam project that included the translation of the pillar of “Shahada” as being, “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is his prophet.”

...Another mother of a seventh-grade girl, Brandee Porterfield, complained to officials at Spring Hill Middle School because of its overemphasis on Islam to the exclusion of Christianity and Judaism.

Porterfield said she has no objections to her daughter learning details of the Islamic religion, but she objects to the fact that the history unit didn’t devote similar time to Christianity or Judaism.

“It really did bother me that they skipped the whole chapter on the rise of Christianity and they spent three weeks just studying Islam,” she said.

Porterfield and other parents were also concerned with the school’s decision to have children write and recite the Islamic creed.

“But what really did bother me,” Porterfield said, “was that they did this assignment where they wrote out the Five Pillars of Islam, including having the children learn and write the Shahada, which is the Islamic conversion creed.”

Interesting thoughts OD! I was having a very similar conversation yesterday about the trajectory since 911, what was correct, what was wrong, and what is coming. Here are the salient points and conclusions from that discussion:

1. Going into Afghanistan was the correct move, but the delay in the decision making (decision by consensus or committee) by SOCOM at Tora Bora was a huge mistake and a turning point. Incidentally, I think this ties very nicely into other threads and the politicization of our MIL leadership in general. Had the decisions been made at the point of action the entire course of the war(s) in the ME would have changed. Conventionalizing the war in A'stan was also a bad decision and serves to highlight that we have learned nothing from our mistakes in similar conflicts.

2. Going into Iraq the 2nd time was a very bad move. Bush the elder wisely stopped at taking out Saddam (advice of Colon Powell). The Iranians were fearful of Saddam and he kept them in check. Removing Saddam puts Iran at the top of the food chain with no regional counter force to keep it in check. (Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.)

3. We have been and are sending the wrong messages to our enemies and allies alike - this will likely lead to a serious miscalculation by our enemies. In so doing we have destabilized the entire ME and there are too many opportunities for such a miscalculation to arise. There are no good outcomes in that event!

4. The new threat that has arisen is the Russia/Iran axis. The goal is to move Iranian oil through Syria via a pipeline and ultimately to Ukraine as a central distribution point throughout Eurasia. This is good for Iran's economy and Russia's economy. It furthers Putin's goal of destabilizing the NATO alliance by controlling distribution of oil to NATO countries and thereby significantly influencing/controlling them. With Iran backed by Russia and Russia advancing it's geopolitical influence along with the U.S. on its current trajectory, the U.S. is marginalized on the World stage.

5. Should the U.S. Dollar lose reference currency status in the meantime, America is dead and nary a shot has been fired

Notice that ISIS was not discussed as a major factor. ISIS creates chaos and further destabilizes the region. This is an environment in which Putin prefers to operate.

So whereas America may not be dead yet (we probably have one more chance to turn this around), I can see America's death in my lifetime - and I'm a FOG!

I disagree. Going into A-Stan was the biggest mistake on this planet and we're only now realizing it.

The Russians were laughing out loud when we entered A-Stan, they said, "Now the Americans get a taste of Islamic war".

We are morons. We have war planes and missiles, and now drones.

We don't need boots on the ground to remove the subhuman species called taliban, we can eradicate them from space if need be.

We do not learn from history, and you know the saying.
