This may be an odd question, and am only asking it because I have seen it before in person.

Is there a reason why some in dress blues would have no unit insignia pin, just the SF De Oppresso Liber pin, not the arrowhead?

This instead of where the arrowhead would be as the unit insignia.

I just touched Base with one of my Contacts and he thinks that the following is what is happening!! You have to realize that this "source" DOES NOT WEAR THIS UNIFORM on a regular basis!! The First and Last time was for his GRADUATION!!

The DUI that is worn on the Right IS your Branch Assignment and what is worn on Your Left is the Unit Assignment.

If someone is wearing the SF DUI, they are an 18 Series MOS.

If they are wearing something else, They Are NOT SF Qualified!!

Brothers,

If I am off Base, please Advise!!
