Who cleans shotguns? :munchin

I just wipe down the outside and run an oily patch through the bore just to prohibit rust.....

I have a bore snake and I'll use it if/when I break my cleaning rod..... ;)

That might be the biggest wives tale of all time.... shot while cleaning weapons.

I don't remember the part of cleaning where the weapons trigger requires pulling........ ;)

I am not of noble blood or an aristocrat and I'll never make enough money to own a Purdey gun......;)

I own a Remington 870, clean it may once or twice every 3-4 years.... then again I live in one of the driest places on earth.

I do, Team Sergeant! :(

You're a gun "noob" the reason you are told to clean your shotgun is to become more familiar with it. Keep cleaning.

I used to believe that until a guy in one of my units happened to "accidentally" shoot himself while "cleaning his weapon". It just so happened that he "cleaned his weapon" right after his girlfriend broke up with him.

Statistics show that depressed people become very careless with weapons. In the UK they now have to get careless with knives which can be a messy business.
