Good luck Achilles, and actually, I am shipping as well on the 29th, so I would also like to thank all you guys on this forum, and the wealth of information here. Achilles, and the rest of you all that are shipping this week, we should all hook up before we go downrange, if possible, to start doing PT together.

Go hard, lads.

Remember, it has to end sometime. Unless they don't like you, I suppose.

Good luck to you both. The only thing that can beat you now is your mind. When it says quit (and it will) just push harder.

Checking in from Sand Hill...

On my first pass, will qualify with my rifle on Friday. I'm in Bravo Co. 2-58 1st Platoon. I've been having fun the whole time. Drill Sergeants have a great sense of humor. :D I don't mind having dumb people in my platoon because we get so much more PT. :lifter I cut 1:30 off my 2 mile in 3 weeks. My pushups got much weaker from 30th AG to here; though probably from doing 2000 bear crawls up hills.

"Oh Private, you didn't want to shave this morning? Not a problem. I got something for ya."

It's also amazing how about 2/3 of 18X's I talked to even BEFORE we got here already wanted to drop their contract. Most of the Drill Sergeats here say "Out of this whole company, only 4 of you will make it."

To all future shippers:
OSUT is enjoyable if you keep a positive attitude. Stupid people will always be stupid and cutting them down or trying to start fights solves nothing. Give them a helping hand when you can, and give your 100% at all times, even when being smoked for what seems like no reason at all.

I only wish I had time to catch up on this board. I'll check back in when I can.
