This kid is a genius .... Triple-major in chemistry, physics and math, he builds a 40W LASER shotgun because as he says, "The only reason this exists, is because it's not illegal to make it."

"I just built something so crazy, I'm almost afraid to use it!" he says. :lifter

The kid took it to the N'th level..

But the idea of a small pen laser for the SHTF kit or even the weekend hunter/backpacker/hiker is some we could all use..

A 150mv pocket tool, good for a fire starter or signaling tool.

If you do "burning laser" on youtube, there are bunches of examples of how to make one.

Somewhere out there a DHS/FBI/ATF agent is wetting his/her panties......

I've used powerful lasers for target designation, the only downside to them is the power packs, it goes real fast.

holy cow. that could also be used for non-lethal force. doesn't appear to weight that much.

That kid just booked a free ride to MIT, Cal Tech, or any school he chooses, and of course, a visit from FBI.
