Two mooslems sent to meet allah!!! Free Speech upheld, win win situation! (They drew guns in Texas!!!! LOL Now that's some funny shitte.)
This is even funnier:
"The statement did not say whether the shooting was related to the event, a contest hosted by the New York-based American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) that would award $10,000 for the best cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad."
"New York-based" American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI)"
I'm sure they sat in NEW YORK and said "Now where could we host such an event and not incite a massacre?, Texas!" Seriously think about what would have happened if this "event" was held in New York City, Calif, Mass, Wash D.C...... there would have been a bloodbath of epic proportions.
And yes I started another thread, I like the headline of this one better..... I don't like the use of the word "possible" even misspelled it's offensive in a PC sort of way...

Two suspects killed, officer injured after shooting outside Muhammad cartoon contest in Texas
Published May 04, 2015
·FoxNews.com
Two armed men were killed after opening fire on a security guard outside an exhibit of artistic depictions of the Muslim prophet Muhammad in suburban Dallas Sunday evening.
The City of Garland said in a statement posted on its Facebook page that the men drove up to the Curtis Culwell Center and began shooting at the security officer. Garland Police Department officers returned fire, killing both gunmen, the statement said.
Authorities said they were worried that the suspects' car could contain an incendiary device. Several nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution and a bomb squad was on the scene early Monday. Police had cordoned off a large area and at least three helicopters circled overhead.
The Garland Independent School District, which owns and operates the Culwell Center, identified the wounded security officer as Bruce Joiner. The district said in a statement that Joiner -- who was shot in the ankle -- was treated and released from a local hospital.
The statement did not say whether the shooting was related to the event, a contest hosted by the New York-based American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) that would award $10,000 for the best cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

Muhammad cartoon contest: Note to jihadists, in America, we shoot back

pair of would-be jihadists learned a very important lesson over the weekend – in America, we shoot back.
The men, believed to be radicalized roommates from Phoenix, tried to launch an attack on a gathering of freedom-lovers in of all places – the Lone Star State. It would turn out to be a most unfortunate decision.
The cold hard reality is that we don’t know how many more radicalized Muslims might be living among us – waiting to wage jihad.
It turned out those practicing their First Amendment rights were protected by those practicing their Second Amendment rights. Within a matter of moments – the jihadists were quickly dispatched to the Hereafter thanks to a straight-shooting traffic cop.

I cannot believe there was a Mohamed drawing contest. Whoever threw it and spent 10gs on security clearly new what was up. ;) All I can say is WOW. And oh yeah, good shot placement! Good thing they didn't get much off on freedom loving Americans. 'Merica!
The one who hosted and sponsored this event was Pamela Geller. Robert Spencer was also there, as was Geert Wilders (Netherlands). This event was held specifically to remind Americans that we do still have freedom of speech in this country, even though most of Europe seems to have accepted the yoke of dhimmitude.
The message was loud and clear: "We will not be sharia-compliant!" Good for them.

Officer praised for stopping gunmen outside Muhammad cartoon event
The Garland Police Department is saying little about the officer who killed two gunmen on Sunday in a shooting outside a Garland events center, but some of his colleagues are proudly talking about him and his marksmanship skills.
The officer's name hasn't been released, but he's been on the force for 38 years.
He was just about to head back to his patrol car Sunday evening when he saw a man jump out of a car and start shooting at the security guard.
The officer pulled his service weapon, a Glock, from its holster and shot the first gunman, who fell to the ground.
A second gunman got out. The officer took a split-second aim, fired at him, and the suspect fell to the ground.
The President of the Garland Police Officers Association told FOX 4 that if the officer hadn't done what he did, hundreds of people would have died.
The officer had recently transitioned from motorcycle patrol to a squad car.
He declined an interview with FOX 4 on Monday.
The Association's Facebook page was full of kudos from citizens.
One post read, "The officer dropped both shooters, bravo, give that man a medal.” Others posted, "Good job guys” and “Way to go boys.”
Douglas Athas, the Mayor of Garland, couldn't be more proud.
"I don't find it really that surprising and I happen to know the gentleman that this was, and I still don't find it surprising,” said Athas.

CAIRO (AP) -- The Islamic State group claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a weekend attack at a center near Dallas, Texas, that was exhibiting cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad - though it offered no evidence of a direct link to the attackers.
An audio statement on the extremist group's Al Bayan radio station said that "two soldiers of the caliphate" carried out Sunday's attack and promised the group would deliver more attacks in the future.
The Islamic State did not provide details and it was unclear whether the group was opportunistically claiming the attack as its own. It was the first time the IS, which frequently calls for attacks against the West, had claimed responsibility for one in the United States.

ISIS appears to declare war on controversial blogger Pamela Geller on Tuesday in an ominous online message claiming it has fighters across America ready to attack "any target we desire."
The threat, posted on anonymous message board JustPasteIt, singles out Geller, who helped plan a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest that was attacked by two gunmen in Garland, Texas, over the weekend. ISIS claimed responsibility for the shooting early Tuesday, marking the first time the terror group called an American attack one of its own, though lawmakers believe the two men were influenced by the group, not guided directly by it.
"This is the textbook case of what we're most concerned about," Rep. Michael McCaul, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, told the Associated Press.
Both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security were aware the contest was a potential terror target and issued a joint bulletin on April 20. Organizers, including Geller - who has become a lightning rod for critics who think she promotes anti-Islam views - knew they'd be targeted but refused to back down.
The chilling Tuesday post also boasts of ISIS having "71 trained soldiers in 15 different states ready at our word to attack." It specifically names Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan and California.
"The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a wiliyah (authority or governance) in the heart of our enemy," the message reads.

This is a good example for carry of firearms. According to the gun control proponents, things like concealed carry wouldn't work against mass shooters and terrorists because one person with a hand gun will not be any match for a terrorist wearing body armor and equipped with a rifle like an AK-47 or an AR-15.

What happened in Texas is and should be a wake up call for everyone. Here's the Pentagon's response.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/08/pentagon-put-on-elevated-alert-level-amid-recent-threats/
The U.S. military has raised its alert level for bases in North America to its highest since the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in the face of mounting threats from Islamic State sympathizers on American soil.
The move, which officials said is not based on a specific threat, was “informed by recent events,” a spokesman for U.S. Northern Command told Fox News.*
The level, known as "Bravo," is the third of five levels of alert and means increased security at military posts across the country. A day earlier, FBI Director James Comey offered blunt remarks about the domestic threat from ISIS sympathizers, saying hundreds and possibly thousands of people in America are following ISIS on social media and consuming their "poison."
A Defense Department statement described the elevated alert level as a “prudent measure” to help mitigate threats.*
“The USNORTHCOM Commander raised the baseline Force Protection Condition as a prudent measure to remind installation commanders at all levels within the USNORTHCOM area of responsibility to ensure increased vigilance and safeguarding of all DOD personnel, installations and facilities,” the statement said. “This change, in addition to random drills or exercises, is a mean to ensure that we effectively execute our force protection mission."*
The heightened alert means additional security measures*can be taken including stricter inspections of vehicles and IDs on military posts across the country. On the heels of the decision, the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Ohio canceled a scheduled concert for Friday night, citing "elevated security measures."*
The DOD statement said they share the “same concern about the potential threat posed by homegrown violent extremists, as discussed publicly by Director Comey and others." The DOD said the change is “not tied to a specific, credible threat,” though “recent events have led us to recognize the need to take prudent steps.”
Fred Burton, of the global intelligence firm Stratfor, said the move likely was influenced by Sunday's incident in Garland, Texas, where two suspected homegrown jihadists tried to storm an event that included a "Draw the Prophet" Muhammad contest. Both were killed, and one security guard was injured in the attack, which ISIS took credit for in online posts.
"An overabundance of caution today in this kind of environment is certainly prudent but I think it's the new normal," Burton said. "The Islamic State or activists on the ground here would certainly view a military installation in any capacity as a high value target, but they would not succeed."
In fact, Burton said, "this kind of increase could lead to a potential push [by terrorists] to softer targets like recruitment offices."*
Steven Bucci, a former top Pentagon official who now works with the Heritage Foundation, said Comey's latest remarks and the elevated alert level indicate this is a "real" threat.*
"This is a very dynamic battlefield and one that shifts constantly," he said, noting the rise in radicalization through digital media.
