Euro drops to nearly same level as dollar

Anybody going to Europe this summer?

The euro's value against the dollar keeps dropping, and it could soon reach parity with the dollar for the first time in 13 years.

It's on my bucket list to get my wife over there. I've traveled there when it cost me $55 per night in a nice hotel in Paris. Then retuning a year later and it's $250.00 a night for a similar hotel. It's all in the conversion rates. Since the Euro was established it has held stronger than the dollar making it a very expensive visit. Looks like it may be time to make that trip over the pond. :D

I'll be in Portugal, the Basque region of Spain, the Bordeaux region of France, and SE regions of England in June...looks like there'll be more $$ in my pocket to spend on more good wines. ;)
