View Full Version : What is your social class?
I am certain that the CSM will use data, that results from this survey to assess the political socio-demographics mindset (well being) of our most beautiful country.
None the less, this is a cool survey to ascertain whether, or not, you are classified a bourgeois UMC elitist, or relegated to some other arbitrary social strata.

Interesting.
BOURGEOIS VOUS
Your habits and perspectives most resemble those of upper-middle-class Americans. Though members of this group are not the most accurate judges of others' emotions, they do have a high faith in people's basic decency, and a commitment to raising healthy, curious, and imaginative children. Your people eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, eschew cigarettes, and live in homes full of books. You have vast and eclectic tastes in music, which likely exclude country, gospel, rap, and heavy metal. In fact, you identify so strongly with your own individual tastes, that you may resent it a bit when friends impinge upon your discoveries.
Interesting because there isn't much correlation between some of my answers and their conclusions. E.g., I got all the emotions right, I'm ambivalent (or worse) about any judgements WRT people's basic decency, and friends with similar tastes make for interesting conversation (I like indulging my confirmation bias! :p). Otherwise, the category is a comfortable fit. On the whole, I suspect I'm fairly normal among those I consider to be my peers.
BOURGEOIS VOUS (upper middle class). I find that amusing because monetarily, I would consider myself working class at best. Deciding to work in the maintenance field may not make me a millionaire, but it's definitely rewarding In other ways.

MIDDLING.
I was really hoping for redneck and was so relieved I did not come up part of the political elite...I'd have shot myself. :D
I think that it is not economic perspective, but rather social perspective, of where ones belongs, or relates, to those values attributed to that particular social strata.
For my answers, I was BOURGEOIS upper middle class. In truth, I answered the question properly, I did not hedge, but rather than dissect the meaning, before choosing A or B, or how the answer would be applied, I simply answered truthfully. I wanted to see the sensibility, I would exhibit within this survey. I am not surprised by the result.
Middling, my habits and perspectives mostly resemble those of middle class Americans. I can live with that. I can see that I am in good company :) !
I think that question in the survey is discriminatory(not excluding) , in that it affords the researchers the ability to categorize the respondents answers, and correlate the socialization process to influencing perspective.

Middling. When someone would ask my maternal grandmother how she was, her response was usually, "Fair to middlin". I guess it's generic. :D

Class comes in first, second and third.
I have style and don't care if anyone else approves.
