Following news reports that the King of Jordan (himself a pilot) is preparing to fly combat missions against ISIS. Anybody else have this on radar?

If he were to be shot down and captured by ISIS I wonder what would happen to him? Would he meet the same fate as the other pilot?

Reports suggest he was entertaining illegal aliens at The White House while the King flew his combat mission.

Jordan's king has also ridden big miles across the U.S. on his Harley. Supposedly a few times, and pretty low vis.
The King is a leader, unlike some who will be known as the golfer.
I understand Brian Williams is flying Pink Team cover??
Even if he doesn't fly into Syria, if I was King Abdullah I would get into a plane and lead my men into battle. Even him hitting a little target would be a huge PR move.
Heck fly to another airbase inside of Jordan, unload bombs and have two other planes fly back would start a shit storm.

That's is TOO FUNNY!!! Sucks it's true.
Syria and Jordan have long been enemies, and Jordan has never forgiven themselves for being suckered into the 1967 War as a 'frienemy' with Syria and Egypt.
As risky as such a move might prove itself to be, I can see him doing this for a number of reasons - with a perceived 'revenge card' being the most dangerous for the kingdom's future amongst both its enemies and its allies.
And so it goes...

Yeah, maybe, but burning a pilot alive ranks right up there with two fisted revenge. I'm kinda hoping the King of Jordan unleashes hell, you know like the United States of America did when the islamic terrorists tortured and murdered one of our Ambassadors..........

Good on him! He's already got my vote. But IIRC he was a special operations officer.
Well, maybe not:
A Jordanian government spokesman has denied rumours that the Jordanian King Abdullah II, a trained pilot, is personally conducting airstrikes against the Islamic State (Isis).
Mohammed al-Momani said in a statement that reports about the personal involvement of the King in combat missions on IS targets is unfounded and baseless.
<snip>
Before becoming king, Abdullah II was a general in charge of Jordanian special forces and a certified Cobra Helicopter pilot. In 1980 he joined the UK's Royal military academy Sandhurst.

It was his father that was a fighter pilot.

Just send Brian Williams.
With his vast combat experience, he can win single handedly.

Got to love this of a Military Leader for a Country.
King Abdullah II is one Adrenaline Junkie, one hell of a Shooter and drivers his own car. King Abdullah II doesn't let his drivers drive his car. Very stand up man from what I've been told. He obviously is a bad@$$ leader of his men.
