When I was a kid my old black haired nanny once told me that it's ok to talk to yourself as long as you don't talk back to yourself. :p

Sometimes talking to yourself is the most intelligent conversation you could have.
Talking to yourself isn't all that bad. Now when you begin debating yourself in public...that could become a problem.

As a parent myself, I can relate. I often, say I like to talk to the voices in my head, because at least I know they listen without either interrupting or giving me a bored, irritated look.
