As you can see, "Khorasan" covers most of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Parts of Iran, and in some maps, parts of Pakistan.

Here are some basic fundamental hadiths from the Sunni perspective about Imam Mahdi:

- "He will be from my progeny and will be forty years of age. His face will shine like a star and he will have a black spot on his left cheek. He will don two "Qutwaani" cloaks and will appear exactly as a person from the Bani Israeel"

- "After the death of a Ruler there will be some dispute between the people. At that time a citizen of Madina will flee (from Madinah) and go to Makkah. While in Makkah, certain people will approach him between Hajrul Aswad and Maqaame Ibraheem, and forcefully pledge their allegiance to him."

- "Thereafter a huge army will proceed from Syria to attack him but when they will be at Baida, which is between Makkah and Madina, they will be swallowed into the ground. On seeing this, the Abdaals of Shaam as well as large numbers of people from Iraq will come to him and pledge their allegiance to him."

- "Thena person from the Quraish, whose uncle will be from the Bani Kalb tribe will send an army to attack him, only to be overpowered, by the will of Allah. This (defeated) army will be that of the Bani Kalb. Unfortunate indeed is he who does not receive a share from the booty of the Kalb. This person (Imaam Mahdi) will distribute the spoils of war after the battle."

- “There will be many armies after me. You must join that army which will come from Khurasaan."

- "Armies carrying black flags will come from Khurasaan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Baitul Maqdas) where they will erect their flags."

- "He will lead the people according to the Sunnah and during his reign Islam will spread throughout the world. He will remain till seven years (since his emergence). He will pass away and the Muslims will perform his Janaazah salaat."

Is it possible to get a translation on all of that? I don't seem to be up on my Koran.

Is this prophecy from the Koran?

Is this group trying to fulfill prophecy?

I am very surprised to learn that this group was attacked. ISIS ISIL ISIS ISIL ISIS ISIL ISIS ISIL (whispered: khorasan)

I know these guys didn't just form up after last Sunday nights NFL game and start a terror group when their fantasy football team went down the toilet. Why haven't we heard about these guys (those of us no longer read on)?

Here's an interesting take on things. Had to dig through Google to find something not coming from the MSM.

I don't know the situation on the ground. But it does seem a bit suspect that no one has heard of these guys until this week and they're already 'a bigger threat than IS/ISIS/ISIL/Whatever name they're going with this week.'

But I'll keep digging for new info. All I get from the media outlets are the same story. It's all 'BE AFRAID' and no actual info.

This second link provides background on the site. They make claims of having former SF, and Intel Analysts from different branches.

You know them by al Qaida in Iraq. They morphed.

No this is not al Qaida in Iraq.. That would be ISIS as everyone says. But NOT Khorasan Group.

So if Muhsin al-Fadhli specialty is fundraising and recruiting. So it is highly reported over al-Fadhli being the leader of of al-Qaeda in Iran (http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/state-department-core-al-qaeda-iran_788949.html). His small group moved into Iran from Afghanistan largely given a free pass by Tehran to operate in their country. The big question would be why would Iran give him Access into Iran, to bring “his al-Qaeda affiliated GROUP” there to operate? Why did he go to Iran anyways?

So back Group on Khorasan Group, it is relatively Sunni terror group because they have reportedly sought cooperation with the al-Qaeda. No al-Fadhli was a fundraising and recruiting arm for al-Qaeda. Did he receive guidance and directions from Osama Bin Laden? In 2013, an intelligence assessment stated that Khorasan leader al-Fadhli “now plays a key role in advancing plans for attacks by al-Qaeda from Syria, in accordance with Iran’s interests.” (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2014/09/23/Who-are-Khorasan-The-Al-Qaeda-Leaders-who-May-Tie-Iran-to-9-11)

Many jihadists announced and mourned on many different social media sites the death of al-Fadhli along with al-Nusra’s sniper trainer, Abu Yousuf al-Turki, if true this is great. We cut two of the Hydra’s heads off. Khorasan Group’s and a senior al Qaeda facilitator and financier, along with a main weapons trainer and leader. As one the official said, "They took a big hit."

That sounds a hell of a lot like revelations and the anti Christ ruling for seven years. Do you have any links or recommendations on reading up on these shit heads?

This is a Google Translation. Which aren't the best, but gives some different insight. Hopefully it works.

I'll look for some histroical stuff to post.

Among the Al Nusrah Front positions targeted in the bombings are locations where members of the so-called “Khorasan group” are thought to be located. Ayman al Zawahiri, the emir of al Qaeda, sent the group to Syria specifically to plan attacks against the US and its interests. The group, which takes its name from al Qaeda’s Khorasan shura (or advisory) council, is reportedly led by Muhsin al Fadhli, an experienced al Qaeda operative who has been involved in planning international terrorist attacks for years.

Al Fadhli’s presence in Syria was first reported by the Arab Times in March. Shortly thereafter, The Long War Journal confirmed and expanded on this reporting. [See LWJ report, Former head of al Qaeda's network in Iran now operates in Syria.] The Long War Journal reported at the time that al Fadhli’s plans “were a significant cause for concern among counterterrorism authorities.

Interesting article on NRO by Andrew McCarthy on Obama's musical names game.

You haven’t heard of the Khorosan Group because there isn’t one. It is a name the administration came up with, calculating that Khorosan — the –Iranian–Afghan border region — had sufficient connection to jihadist lore that no one would call the president on it.

The “Khorosan Group” is al-Qaeda. It is simply a faction within the global terror network’s Syrian franchise, “Jabhat al-Nusra.” Its leader, Mushin al-Fadhli (believed to have been killed in this week’s U.S.-led air strikes), was an intimate of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the emir of al-Qaeda who dispatched him to the jihad in Syria. Except that if you listen to administration officials long enough, you come away thinking that Zawahiri is not really al-Qaeda, either. Instead, he’s something the administration is at pains to call “core al-Qaeda.”

What is the Khorasan Group?

"The Khorasan Group - a name apparently coined by the US - is believed to be made up of about 50 veteran militants from Afghanistan and Pakistan, which jihadists refer to as Khorasan, as well as North Africa and Chechnya."

US officials said they had been sent to Syria by al-Qaeda's leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, not to fight the government of President Bashar al-Assad but to "develop external attacks, construct and test improvised explosive devices and recruit Westerners to conduct operations".

The militants are thought to have embedded themselves within al-Qaeda's local affiliate, the al-Nusra Front, and obtained land and buildings in its strongholds.

Several al-Qaeda veterans - including al-Nusra's spokesman Abu Firas al-Suri and its top military commander, Abu Humam al-Suri - moved to Syria over the past year and appeared in al-Nusra propaganda.

The Khorasan cell's alleged leader, Muhsin al-Fadhli, was also believed to have arrived last year, but he kept a low profile.

The 33-year-old Kuwaiti was a confidante of the late Osama bin Laden and one of the few al-Qaeda operatives to receive advanced warning of the 11 September 2001 attacks, according to the US.

I find the name game a bit alarming in the sense that it minimizes the problem and deflects from the real and growing problem that is Islamic in origin.

It's not just the ever changing Group names either, since Obama took charge mass shootings, beheading and other sinister acts performed by followers of the Religion of Peace are re-framed as Work Place Violence, Man-caused disasters and Extremists.....I actually had someone try to justify the Oklahoma beheading by stating that it would not have happened if they hadn't fired him!

If I didn't know better I would say Obama and minions are practicing a form of taqiyya.

The MSM and other news outlets can say the U.S> is playing a name game with naming the Group of individuals the "Khorasan Group." But for any of us that have worked items or groups like this, it makes talking about them easier.

As far as the Administration playing the name game.. Enough said about this bunch.
