View Full Version : ATF builds Branch Davidian models to honor fallen agents
I will be interested to see how the ATF educates the public with these models....my guess is the education will follow in the footsteps of recent IRS activities.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is set to unveil a pair of wooden models of the Branch Davidian compound as a way to memorialize four agents who died in the Feb. 28, 1993, raid outside of Waco.
“The model, intended as a tool to both educate the public and foster new generations of law enforcement, is fitted with LED lights marking 18 key positions on the compound property. Each light is activated by a button located around the model’s edge, in effect allowing it to be a self-narrating educational tool,” ATF officials said in a statement.

Somehow I doubt they learned the same lessons the rest of us did.

...I doubt that they learned ANY lessons.
However, in the interest of my civil freedom and future safety...
I love the ATF. They are only worried about our safety and the safety of our children.
Hip Hip Hooray for the ATF.

Is it a monument to their incompetence and willingness to sacrifice everyone; agents and 'suspects' alike...?

They should add a "Flick-a-Bic" feature to it - balsa goes well & quickly.
They might consider constructing a mock up of the 7-11 in Waco where the SHOULD have locked up DK.

From what I know about the Branch Davidian incident, and by no means am I an expert, it should be a monument to tactical ineptitude and what happens when the deadly duo, arrogance and ego are coupled together.
Trapper really hit the nail on the head about arrogance and ego being a deadly combination

Especially when your plan is compromised and you knowingly go anyway..... There's stupid and then there's ATF stupid......
If I ran for prez tomorrow I would run on the platform to end the ATF, TSA and DHS. I would then use the money saved to bolster the states LEO's.
Every time a dimocrat takes office they draw down the military, but they expand the government....... funny that. (Socialism)

You are so right. Yesterday DHS announced that they wanted to form a Southern Command to better work together on the SW border. They say this command will help BP, HSI and CBP work better together. Why do ou need a command when they are all a member of DHS.
Stupid in my opinion.
