The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and hate speech on Twitter.
...
“This service could mitigate the diffusion of false and misleading ideas, detect hate speech and subversive propaganda, and assist in the preservation of open debate,” the grant said.

To those that are listening:
Fuck you communist oligarchical fuck wads.
I will smoke your minions, should they come knocking for my family, friends, or neighbors.
If harm is inflicted, I will hunt you where you rest.
I'm sure we will be hearing much more about "truthy".....

Excerpt:
Recently the benevolent and transparent feds, through a National Science Foundation grant to Indiana University, decided to spend nearly $1 million of OUR tax dollars to create a Twitter-centric "web service that will monitor ‘suspicious memes’ and what it considers to be ‘false and misleading ideas,’ with a major focus on political activity online."
Ahem, let me translate this bit of nonsense I like to call “government speak.” The Obama regime is paying a university to stalk conservatives in social media, particularly on Twitter, and TELL ON US for not falling in line, and daring to speak out against their crap agenda. Because let’s be honest, that’s truly what hate speech is to these buffoons.
Known as “Truthy,” the service’s lead “investigator” is Filippo Menczer who has been linked to multiple progressive sites such as Organizing for Action, Moveon.org, Greenpeace and True Majority… surely there will be no bias in Mr. Menczer’s investigations, right? HA. Right.

Well, in Alabama (and likely other states, this is just representative), it's not just Threat Liaison Officers who get to report suspicious stuff (like onerous use of Twitter or taking a picture of a famous building). Now your neighbors can jam you up, er, uh, I mean, go right to their home computer and report all kinds of stuff. (http://s4.alacop.gov/) Nice interface. "See something? Click something." Of course, things with such ease of data input have a second edge to their blade for the recipient of the data.
Well, I was always fond of those good ol' Fusion Centers anyway.
Just can't wait to see what's next.
