For all of us that have Rolled in a GMV know how much more mobile and agile they are over any MRAP. MRAPS are great; better protection, CROWS/RWS, IR Cameras and all that. But their weight make them stay on hard ball roadways more and can't move cross country like a GMV.

For me this looks like a new money train just as CYBER is replacing the War Machine in the military industry.

I have heard that several times, at this point............it only infuriates me that we continue to operationally limit ourselves by restricting movement to MSR's and well traveled paths, whilst driving a giant submarine on wheels.

Restriction to roads = pattern of movement
Pattern of movement = concentration of explosives
Concentration of explosives = common threat to all vehicles

It doesn't matter how much armor we use, there is always a vulnerability. In this case, the vulnerability being simply, more explosives.

Amen Brother.. we stayed off the roadways as much as teh MRAPs would let us. But Still I hated doing the drive to the FOB for Resupplies on a Named Hardball MSR.

I don't know what hurt more. My jaw muscle pain or Sphincter muscle.. Mr. Hankey died from you air!!
