COL Sydnor was one of the three ground force element commanders. He had Redwine element, the security force, Simons was overall commander and had the Greenleaf C2 element. Meadows hit the camp itself with Blueboy and searched for the POWs.

Never had the honor to meet Col Sydnor, even though technically, he was my CO while I was in the 46th SFCo in 1973. Rest in Peace, Sir...
I'll remember a true gentleman. RIP Sir.
Rest in peace Col. Snydor. I have only read about your courage. May Almighty God reserve a special place in His kingdom for you and all like you. My prayers also for your family.

Thanks, that makes sense. This must have been before Meddows other heroics we are all so familiar with?
Rest in Peace, Colonel...thank you.
