Could not have said it better myself!

Obamaism

A belief that the Constitution of the United States of America is obsolete, that capitalism exploits and oppresses the ignorant masses, that government knows better than the people on how to conduct their private affairs, that centralized government planning and control of the economy is superior to free markets, that free republics are evil and racist, that self-defense, national defense, national security are the tools of hateful war mongers, that nations should erase their borders, destroy their means of national defense, dissolve their constitutions and submit to control by world governments, that the ideas of freedom, free nations, free people, liberty, capitalism, etc, are failures that should be replaced by world government control, socialism, Marxism, Communism etc.

...Pelosi and HRC occasionally read that definition together when they want to enjoy multiple Obamaisms.

I weep for the end of the country that I grew up in and loved.

It was a great run, and I only wish that I weren't here to see the end.

Wow! A soldier who stood up to help liberate those beyond our borders, now curls into the fetal position and "weeps" when his own country is faced with oppression. (I'm not exactly speechless, but I'll stop here. For now.)

It's not the death of the country. This is just her coming down with the flu, and there are plenty of antibodies just waiting.

Thanks Pat. You used more restraint than I would have. ;)

Many of us remember the Carter years and there are similarities. Perhaps the biggest is the mood of the nation, and the world. It sucked then and it sucks now.

I don't see a Reagan on our horizon right now but, we didn't see him coming then either. Ultimately though, we may not have hit bottom yet. We'll bounce back. One way or another I suspect.... Hang in there, all is not lost.....:munchin

You are correct, and I'll admit I was feeling quite down at the moment. Intellectually I know that this is one of the inevitable lowpoints we've faced as a nation, but it hurts emotionally (yes, I love my country). Honestly, I could not stand Clinton, but those days seem like a breeze. Anyway, it is also nice to be reminded that things WILL get better, and a great reason to come to this site.

In regards the "Pelosi-isms", has anyone else noticed how Pelosi typically avoids religion like the plague(maybe due to her home district pandering), but is very quick to whip out religion in support of issues such as same sex marriage and the social re-engineering of the US via illegal immigration("it's what Jesus would do")?

To Radar Rider. I hope this notable quote wakes you from your malaise:

“Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.”
- John Adams
