The bride had a sinking feeling when she found out the groom was all wet. :D
There was something more serious than this that happened that killed a bride I remember. The bride and her fellow bridesmaids were riding in a rented limousine. Unfortunately, they had overloaded the limousine. The suspension broke while driving and the bottom of the floor sank down onto the spinning part of drivetrain that connects to the rear axle. This started sparking and then caught fire. The bride was burned alive.
