Well moved and opened one of my monster bags last night and guess what? I found a TSA flyer. And guess what else I did not find? 6 mags missing. Well I have been having fun today with TSA OIG in DC. Now I need mags and I have been to
6 gun shops here and no one has any.

What is a good recommendation from the net to buy some?

That's a good price and 17's seem to be in a bit of a short supply.

My go-to CDNN and Top Gun Supply are out of stock.

Here is a KCI inexpensive substitute.

Try these guys. I have bought from them once years ago with no problems and have heard good things.

Concur. I've bought from them several times with no problems and decent prices. Aim Surplus (http://www.aimsurplus.com/catalog.aspx?groupid=16&name=Handgun+Magazines) occasionally has Glock mags too; unfortunately, they appear to be out of stock right now. As for the JGSales suggestion, I'm hesitant WRT Korean mags having had bad experiences with several varieties of MiK rifle mags.

Do NOT buy Korean made Glock mags for anything but the range, and malfunction drills.

They are NOT for duty use.

Brownell's, Midway, CDNN, Bud's, CTD, and Palmetto Armory are all out of the real deal.

Natchez has them in stock for $25 each. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=GLMF17117&src=sim

That, along with .44MAG, is probably about as good as you are going to get right now, though GunBroker has them as well in multiple auctions.

Local gun stores might have some as well.

I'm in the DC area now. I have 2 mags with me and will be in N W VA in a couple of hours. If 2 helps I can meet you and you can send them back when you get resupplied. I'll PM you a cell #.

Wow thanks for all the offers. Truly amazing.....

The stolen mags were part of my tactical kit and basically just pissed me off that they were ripped.

I had no idea how short they are in the public market as I can get them from the agency but have to wait for them. Guess I learned a lesson not to put things together wrapped up in a nice package. Figured that pulling them out of the vest and pouches would make it easier if it was searched. Next time I will just carry them on the plane.

I hate theafs ........ And I hate even more government theafs....

Our firearms guy loaned me 2 mags so I am not unarmed...

Again thanks for the offers and education as to where the better sources to get new ones. TR is right for range work the korean ones are ok but not for duty.

Please do not carry on the plane. As a former TSA Supervisor ANY part of a firearm is not allowed as a cary on. If you need further info i can look it up in the CFR.

Would hate to see you loose them at the checkpoint.

BHT is a Federal Agent, I think he is GTG. ;)

BTW, Glockmeister appears to be out of stock.

If that were to be a continuing problem in the future how practical would it be to use FedEx?

I was just being lazy and not wanting to carry all the extra weight in my carry on.

They just sent FedEx 4 for me from DC. They arrive in the morning...... Still want to get back up to my basic load but will wait........

Going out to qual in the morning to get current here. Love to shoot the G's ammo.

Thanks for all the help. It is nice to be back where if I want something I just drive to a store.

Quite an assumption - do you 'know' it was a TSA employee or some airlines baggage handler along the flight route?

To me, though, it doesn't matter much - I HATE people taking things that don't belong to them.

The safest way to "Secure" your baggage is to have a "Declared" Firearm in it!! Then there is a clear "Chain of Custody" on it!!!
